We were very well looked after. The room was large and airy. The hosts very accommodating and happy to help. The breakfast was delicious and very much set us up for our days. There was ample parking and a very good village run tea shop near by.

We were attending a nearby birthday party and did not want to drive home the same day. The proximity of Norton House made it very suitable for our needs. Additionally, it was very near the White Horse of Uffington, so we got in some sightseeing and walking the next morning, which was very pleasant. Norton House is full of character...

The Obermans have been offering bed and breakfast in their charming house in Uffington for many years, so they really understand what travellers need. First, to be in the right location, and after that to provide what we all are looking for, to be comfortable, safe and in the morning well fed. You get all of those and pluses too....

My husband, daughter and I stayed here for one night in early September. It was ideally located within walking distance of a friend's party, which is why we booked it. The owners are friendly and were accommodating when our arrival time changed. The property itself is on Broad Street and looks quite unremarkable. There were two iron hooks for hanging...

Our hosts were very helpful and knowledegable and made our stay most pleasant. We stayed here for a couple of nights and enjoyed it. Norton House is an old building with a lot of history and therefore bathrooms are not en-suite but are large and for the exclusive use of your room which is also quite large. It is a...

This is a delightful house in a pretty historic village, where one has a great welcome, comfortable rooms, a delicious and very generous breakfast, and where the owners really go the extra mile to be helpful and make you feel at home. They have very recently won a four star rating from the English Tourist Board, and a high accolade...

Tiny breakfast -- 'half of' a normal English breakfast. They charge for everything and DON'T accept credit cards (thus I had extra costs to cash some money on an urgent basis)! Very inconvenient location. The owners are not very responsive and helpful. In the evening when I arrived, they promised to give me a lift tomorrow morning to Wantage via...

We were upset to hear that you did not enjoy your visit to Norton House. It was unfortunate that you were unable to see the White Horse as there was early morning mist covering the hill. I had offered to drive you to Wantage to catch an early bus to Didcot in order for you to get a train to...

I chose this B&B because I was walking the Ridgeway. It is located a mile or so from the path, plus the owners offer a transport service to and from the Ridgeway for a small payment, which was welcome after a full day of walking. Uffington is a lovely little village with a very nice pub. The B&B itself is...

After a 15-mile hike it was a joy to arrive at this wonderful B&B and to be welcomes with tea and biscuits! This was also a glimpse into the past - a traditional house carefully renovated and updated for the 21st century.

We stayed here for our 2nd night walking the Ridgeway. Uffington is a mile or so from the path and the White Horse but has a decent pub that serves good food and beer so it is well worth the hike. Norton House itself is run by a lovely couple and they have an adorable Labrador that likes having its...

We welcome you to our comfortable family home, where we offer accommodation in a double, twin/family and single rooms, with 2 private bathrooms. We serve delicious breakfasts using local, free range produce where possible, as well as home-made bread, marmalade and jam, and fruit from the garden. Both the local pub, the Fox and Hounds, which serves evening meals, and the Post Office stores, are within easy walking distance. The village has a beautiful parish church, a small museum open on summer weekends, and our renowned Uffington White Horse, an ancient chalk figure carved on the hillside, is nearby.
