I stayed for the first time in April 2008 with my daughter, and came back with friends for 3 days the week before Feis Ile. Rhona and Hamish are wonderful guests who know every place and people on islay and will take care of you. Breakfast is very good and porridge is one of the best I've eaten in Scotland.

We stayed at this B&B for 3 nights at the end of March. The property has a convenient and central position at the heart of Port Ellen. You can expect to be greeted with a warm, friendly and sincere welcome by the owner, and be provided with clean and comfortable en-suite accommodation, that includes a hospitality tray in the room....

We spent three very comfortable nights in Caladh Sona in a twin room with a spotless en-suite. Rhona and Hamish made us feel very welcome right from the start, and helped us plan our walks and distillery visits. Rhona has an encyclopaedic knowledge of the island, its restaurants, tea rooms and places of interest. Her Scottish breakfasts were very welcome,...

Perfectly situated in Port Ellen on the southern end of Islay, within walking distance of Laphroaig, Lagavulin and Ardbeg, and on the bus route to get further North on the island. The room was a twin room, comfortable bed and an en-suite bathroom. Rhona was a perfect host - she helped us get taxis booked for our trips out on...

We stayed for 3 nights and cannot fault this b&b. The breakfast was first class, the beds comfortable and the welcome very friendly. We really enjoyed staying here and would definitely do so again!

I've stayed on Islay many times and would definitely recommend Caladh Sona as the place to stay. It is situated a stone's throw away from the Port Ellen ferry terminal, very handy if you arrive late or need to leave the island early. Although it is at the south end of Islay and not centrally located, there really is no...

Me and my husband have been to Islay twice and both times we stayed at the Caladh Sona. Rhona is soo friendly and nice. She is very helpful and she will never make us feel that we are bothering her with any questions. Such nice, quiet and calm, atmosphere at the B&B. Great breakfast!!!! Couldn't ask for any thing more!...

We were lucky to be recommended Rhona and Hamish Scotts B&B just in the middle of Port Ellen. Rhona arranged everything we needed for a tour around the destilleries on Islay and cooked the biggest scottish breakfast you can imagine, and tasty too, The room was nice and clean and we had plenty of space to store our luggage during...

This B & B has become a home away from home for me (not bad from the far side of the planet!) - every trip I've made to the UK since 2005 has featured, and I mean "featured" a stay here. Rhona and Hamish have been unfailingly welcome and helpful, making me feel more like a friend than a guest....

Stayed for two nights at Caladh Sona. The location is excellent as just two mins away from the ferry terminal of Port Ellen. Received a warm welcome and our room was lovely and had an ensuite. The room had two single beds and plenty of storage (wardrobe and chest of drawers). Also has satelite TV and tea/coffe making facilities. The...
