We stayed here for just one night, but it was a lovely night. The lounge area was amazing, with a crackling fire and ambiance most pay dearly for. This charming hotel had a fantastic restaurant and bar and the setting could not be more beautiful. Our room was clean and quaint, with a breathtaking view of the water. The median...

Stayed a couple of weeks ago now on a super deal. From the reviews on here we had already asked for rooms in the old part and they lived up to their word on that. Frank and Julie (I think coz she kept forgetting her badge :-) ) on the front desk were a great double act, despite him costing...

Dear RaithRovers Thank you for taking time to review our hotel and giving a lot of thougt into the place, June on Reception sends her best (that badge is always on now) So glad you enjoyed the quirkiness of the hotel as although some of the hotel needs working on parts of it works on its own. Just back after staying on Wednesday night with my partner. We went after our friends had recommended the hotel. I drove up from Hamilton. The roads after Tarbet are terrible and very scary. However the views on the way up are amazing! The hotel looks out onto hills and a beautiful Loch. Unfortunately it rained whilst we visited as they...

The location is ideal, the staff are very helpful you'll stay in better hotels, but this is comfortable, clean, serving excellent food both breakfast and evening. Great views and close to several must see places on this coast. Oban, Glencoe, Fort William and Ben Nevis all close by. Would recommend you stay here.

Lovely to stay in such a stunning location with lots of very friendly local people employed. The accommodation was, admittedly, a little in need of refurbishment but the rooms were very comfortable and we all - travelled with friends - enjoyed a loch side view. The evening meal was excellent on two out of three nights - a shame the...

The title says it all really. We stayed in the old part of the hotel, though there is a much newer extension. I have never gone up and down such a creaky set of stairs anywhere - hence we termed it "atmospheric". The odd ghost or two wouldn't have surprised us at all - sadly, or otherwise, we didn't see...

We held our wedding at the Ballachulish Hotel over the weekend of May 2. Frank and his entire staff were attentive, professional, efficient, friendly, and treated us and our guests like royalty. Our rooms were beautiful, the food was fantastic, and we wouldn't change a thing about our choice of a place to host the most important day of our...

My husband and I stopped here on our way from Glencoe to Fort William. We did not have reservations and were very surprised that they had an available room.
