From the moment you walk through the main entry of Jeff and Jacqui's beautifully renovated manor house, you are overcome with a feeling of tranquility. It's time to relax! Whether reading a book, enjoying a drink in front of the beautiful log fireplace, or simply gazing out the windows at the magnificient gardens, Jeff and Jacqui strive to combine homestyle...

This is such a delightful place just outside Kelso run by Jeff with Jackie in charge of the kitchen. You will eat terrifically well with her fixed menus and his unusual and well priced wines. Tip - just let Jeff take over; he will give you glass after glass of well chosen wines to compliment the food. We also very...

I don't think there are sufficient adjectives to praise this establishment. It is small with three rooms in the main house and a self-catering apartment, although who would want to self-cater with such delights in the dining-room?! It is in both the Good Food Guide and the Good Hotel Guide with ample justification. It scored three positives for me even...

The management photos of the house don't do it justice. There is a lot of old world elegance inside and outside the house. The indoor decorating and their collection of antiques is beautiful. The outdoor gardens are beautiful as well. There are several tables, hidden benches, and statuary placed around the gardens. This place is absolutely charming. Jeff and Jacqui...

Jacqui and Jeff could not do more as hosts... they are hospitality personified... from the moment you arrive til the moment of departure... their attention to detail is consummate. Not only did we have a superb breakfast but a magnificent dinner also. Jacqui is still taking risks with the menus and pulling it off...Jeff likes the challenge of the wine...

My wife and I stayed for 2 nights in connection with our company's performances at the Edinburgh Festival. We not only thoroughly enjoyed our stay, but the food was absolutely exceptional. In our experience one rarely finds a place that pays such attention to detail whilst retaining the informality which we believe to be an essential ingredient but Jeff &...
