We had a very good meal at the carvery in The Crown Hotel on Sunday. The hotel has been renovated and updated and the surroundings were very nice. The food from the carvery was excellent especially the meat selection. I was pleasantly surprised at the transformation of the hotel and would be happy to return to eat there on another...

The hotel was full except for one room which they knew wasn't their best, although the B&B rate was extremely good value for money. We had a great welcome and a good night's sleep. All of the staff were extremely professional and friendly. Just completing a major refurb to the dining room - We'd certainly stay again.

Once again Newton Stewart excels with the quality of service at another local venue. Very friendly staff that made our party of ten, plus our pet dog, very welcome. Lovely food, reasonably priced. We will be back.

If you want good food at reasonable prices, friendly staff and the added bonus of your dog being allowed in while you eat, then this is the place to go. The food was excellent with good portion sizes and served piping hot. Their sign says dog and family friendly and it certainly is. Well done.
