Visited off season while driving the North Coast 500. This was our favourite place on the trip. We booked the cheapest budget double and it was cosy and comfy with a telly and heater. It was only around £60 (exc breakfast). The bar had a roaring fire and we just had a few drinks with a book while the weather...

View from room and public areas was fantastic. Our room was quite comfortable but very dated. The shower was terrible, had to ask how to turn it on (you pull a cord on the ceiling!) then ran either boiling hot or cold. Bathroom was also small and very cold. Only one small towel rack. Toiletries were very nice though WiFi...

The Ferryboat was good when we ate there same time last year. Not this year. It's a busy restaurant and bar with a good selection of local seafood and classic dishes. I decided to forego two courses and order the shellfish platter (£30) as it had three of my favourites included. Dressed crab, oysters and potted prawn. Sadly when the...

Lovely warm room. Good view of the loch. Black mould needs to be removed from windows and bath casing should be replaced. There was a problem with wifi at the time of our visit. This was a problem for north west Scotland. However the staff were very helpful in trying to help us with access.

Arriving in Ullapool, checked in here,it was an unprofessional check in,room was worn and drab, curtains was hanging off window, behind bed and down side was thick with dust, grouting was black ,£65 for that.Went down for breakfast which was extra £9.95,and not worth the money, but the worst thing was the white swing door going into kitchen was black with dirt, made you wonder if...

Superb views but still not worth £128 room only. Would have been happy to have paid around £80 given the location. Unfortunately there was mould in our bathroom and the food wasn't that great. I spent £200+ for one night so not great value. Some of the locals were a bit rough and loud but that's not really the inns...

We visited Ullapool in 2015 and ate at the Ferry Boat Inn on 3 occasions because the food was excellent. We returned to Ullapool in October 2016 and headed to the Ferry Boat Inn on the evening of Sunday 02 October. The guy behind the bar (small with long hair) was offhand, verging on rude but we took a table...

We decided before leaving on holiday to make a special visit to the Ferry Boat Inn - what a mistake! The day was quite wet and dreary when we arrived in Ullapool, unfortunately this was perfectively matched by the welcome we received on arrival at the Inn. We should have taken the decision there and then to leave, but stay...

We stayed in Ullapool for a week in October 2015. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to return in 2016. One of our favourite venues was the Ferry Boat Inn, I think we ate there on 3 evenings. On our return we headed to the Ferry Boat Inn on Sunday evening (2nd October). It was quiet and we were...

Loved Ullapool our hotel was average- we have found what you pay is what you get- the Ferry boat inn was well located -very small rooms and bathroom - but fantastic harbour view - we loved going down the street for the best breakfast at the Frigate bar - best food and coffee in all or Scotland.
