To start with the positives, this hotel has a great location on the harbourfront, it's easily accessible by car, and there's short-term parking right outside, which is handy for unloading. But it desperately needs refurbishment: it's crying out for total redecoration and to have those tatty carpets ripped out and replaced. The wallpaper was peeling in my room (and elsewhere)... More

Waited quite a while to be seen for check in, we got to our room and in definite need of a refurb, the carpet was plush though and the bed very comfy. The wifi did not stretch to our room, the bathroom was slightly mouldy (probably from being carpeted) and had hairs stuck to the tiles. The room was also... More

The Prime location of this hotel is great. The beds comfy. Now apart from that the staff need training. On arrival, no happy welcome, we (my sister & I) were the first to check in, (check in small and pokey) we were given the keys and I asked if it was a front room and it wasn't, so I said... More

What a darling picturesque place on Loch Broom. Quaint and cozy and right on the waterfront. We stayed two nights and actually thought it was one of the better rooms we had on our trip thru Scotland. Our room was on the front side of the hotel and from our window you could see out onto the loch with fishing... More

Stayed here for one night only. The room was big. The Bed was really nice and we slept very good in it. The Shower is a nightmare, very cold or very hot there is no other option and there is slow water. Could not wash my hair! Overpriced comparing to other stays.

This hotel is located on the waterfront and looks great from the outside. The room we had was clean and comfortable and the internet worked. We had a view over the water which was lovely. The food was good too. Not so good was the lack of organization and service. On arrival, as there is no reception we had to... More

A traditional pub with an attempt at a 'gourmet' restaurant, we spent 2 nights in a very pleasant room overlooking the port in the loch. The furniture needs some modernising otherwise a clean and spacious room. The food in the restaurant was fairly good but the service was far from professional. We dined out the second evening and ate equally... More

I had a light lunch at The Ferry Boat Inn and enjoyed it very much. The atmosphere is just like in many pubs but the food is better than in many pubs. They have a good selection of food; mainly seafood but there are also some meat dishes. I didn't know what to expect when I first entered the pub,... More

This was by far the worst hotel we stayed in during our otherwise enjoyable holiday in Scotland. We travelled up the beautiful west coast of Scotland only to find the hotel we had prebooked was a big disappointment. Very small room on seafront had nice view but was extremely noisy all night due to the single glazed windows which afforded... More

This is a traditional pub with a lively bar which features live music on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. The bar on Thursday evening was packed and very friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed my time there. We were allocated a very small room, namely room 3. This seems to happen to us regularly in this country, maybe because we are both... More
