This was our third time staying here, Gwbert is absolutely stunning. We had a Seaview room this time and I would highly recommend it, so relaxing having a cuppa looking out at the beautiful scenery. The hotel is clean and modern and the staff are always friendly and helpful. I would have given 5 stars but I've deducted a star for the fact the hotel is not manned at night. The guests in the room beside us had their TV on ridiculously loud through the night which spoilt our enjoyment of the room. We went in search of a night porter to go have a quiet word as we were too angry and didn't want to cause a scene by going round ourselves. There was no one on duty and we didn't feel that we could call someone out just for that so had to suffer. Whilst the hotel isn't responsible for ignorant, disrespectful guests it would be beneficial to have someone on site during the night to help in situations like these. Other than that if you are looking for a nice, quiet, beautiful place to stay for a short break I would highly recommend The Gwbert Hotel. …
We were staying at one of the properties owned by the Gwbert Hotel, but visited the bar & restaurant a few times during our stay. The staff couldn't do more for us, some of our party was stuck in delays, our table was booked for 6:30 but they didn't arrive until 7:15. The staff were amazing and very understanding, told us not to worry at all and put us right at ease. It was totally worth the wait, the food was outstanding!!! And huge portions, I had the steak and it was cooked to perfection. Everyone had a fantastic time, and the views are just stunning!! Thank you so much!
Absolutely fantastic experience staying here. The room was spotless really clean and shower was amazing. The views we had were beautiful. Went to the restaurant for a meal at night. Friendly staff, well organised, tasty food. Would definitely return
I thoroughly recommend this Hotel, We had a lovely time and its positioned right on the Coast within 100yrds of the sea absolutely STUNNING, We booked a room with a sea view, and got a stunning room with a stunning view and the Hotel is fantastic with great staff and food and good value with big car park, Golf Club 1/4 mile up road and coastal path right next to Hotel
Nice clean hotel and room excellent. nice food great location staff helpful and friendly . Chairs outside to have a drink and amazing views. This was our 3rd visit and will go back back again. So much to see in the area. Get a room with a sea view.
Stayed a night. Beautiful location. Lovely room with fantastic sea view. Welcoming, courteous and friendly staff. Tasty evening meal and breakfast. Good to see an establishment so popular and busy. Would highly recommend.
As described. We had a dog so didn’t expect the “best” room. We also had a sea view! Staff were all great and very welcoming. We were only there for one night . The hotel is an old building so getting to the room was somewhat like a maze but that adds to why we liked it ! Will visit again
Fantastic stay . Really lovely hotel , staff lovely, rooms very comfortable, had a sea view , bed huge , shower lovely, very clean. Food really nice and huge portions . Would recommend this hotel . Had a lovely swim before breakfast , some lovely coves you can walk down to about 5/ 7 minute walk away through the grounds of the spa hotel opposite.
Per coincidence got a room booked here due to the hotel i initially wanted was full. What a happy thing it turned out to be. It’s location and views are lovely and easy to get too. Rooms are clean and have comfy beds. The staff are all briljant and helpful. For a quick walk to the coves, just go through the Cliff hotel parking lot to public footpath, this will lead you to different coves accessible via narrow footpath.
The Gwbert Hotel had just “got it”. We met up with friends for dinner. The informal restaurant was completely full. The menu had something for everybody and was sensibly priced. We had the beef teriyaki which came in a general portion. The service was super fast, the staff were very friendly and the service was excellent. The Gwbert is a place for informal dining and benefits from the spectacular view of the estuary.
