This was a brilliant Travelzoo deal. Superior room , 6 course tasting menu plus champagne. Good food, lovely room, excellent spa faciliites. Actually The best I have experienced. Most hotel spas are tired and jaded, pool was 18 meters long, sauna and steam room hot.

A strange mix of old and new , but a very warm welcome and good service awaited. We met with friends and enjoyed a few drinks in the bar and watched the New Zealand / South Africa game. Our room was newly decorated and very comfortable. We had the taster menu in the evening, which was very good as was...

We booked in for one night at a weekend which included a 6 course taster menu. The hotel - Easy to find and had plenty of parking at the back, we checked in easily and made our way to the room on second floor by stairs, lifts were available but be aware they are very small and will only accommodate...

On 25 October forty or so nephews, nieces and their children attended a celebration lunch in honour of my Aunty Nancy, who is the last of her generation of four daughters and two sons, the children of Tom and Maevynia Evans, of Llandrindod Hall Farm. It was to be a particularly poignant occasion as some sixty years ago Nancy's wedding...

Remarkable building in the middle of town - looks like it should be in Switzerland. Very large room with good level of comfort / amenities. Pool and gym are very good - as is the breakfast. Probably the only place to go in town as well for food / drinks / bit of a sit down.

Charming hotel from a bygone era before the slightly sanitising effects of the growth of chains! Staff were friendly and the hotel itself is nicknamed the "Big Green Monster" which enchanted the kids. There is a really modern fitness suite and small but pleasant swimming pool and hot tub which are free to use for guests. One word of warning...

We paid to upgrade to superior double room but we were a little disappointed. It was clean and comfortable but not particularly but felt a bit cramped. The separate desk area may be good for business travellers but as a couple we would have preferred more usable space in the room. Our room 122 had very high windows and as...

originally we went into Hotel for a cream tea but I thought a little pricey for me. Decided to have something off the special boards and told that I couldn't as they stopped serving hot food at 14.15. It would of been helpful if they had written that on the board or simply taken board down as I spent ten...

Stayed here on a short coach holiday with Majestic. A four star hotel which lives up to the rating and with a sense of history. Very friendly helpful staff. Large comfortable public rooms and an enclosed veranda. Hotel clean throughout.Large modern well furnished bedroom and bathroom. The latter generated the only niggle in that the light and extractor fan responded...

We've stayed here a number of times over the years, and enjoyed once again the superb food included in our mini-break. Excellent attention from the staff - especially Kristina in the restaurant. Our slumbers were disturbed about midnight when the alarms went off. Not particularly enjoyable, but very re-assuring to see the competent and organised way the staff marshalled us....
