My husband and I have, this morning, returned from an overnight stay with 7 course tasting menu via a Groupon deal. This little gem of a place has to be visited for, not only the perfect wonderful setting but to experience professional staff who obviously enjoy their work. They all seem to “muck in” with reception, bar and waiting services...

We stayed here mid week for one night as a little relaxing getaway on a groupon deal that included a 7 course taster menu. The hotel was great...the staff were fantastic and the food was amazing. Our room wasn't big but was perfectly formed with an extremely comfortable bed and great shower!

The hotel web site does the hotel more justice than the real thing. The hotel had character but lacks charm, its decor is tired and is in need of being changed to reflect the age of the hotel. The hotel appears to have an identity crisis, it does not know what it is..... Is it a period hotel or a...

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your review. As a listed manor house we have tried to preserve as many of the original features as we can. The 16th century panelling and original fireplaces for instance. However peoples needs for some up to date features such as wifi and power showers are just some of the things that...

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I am very pleased that you enjoyed you tasting menu so much On your first night, as you would have noticed, the hotel was exceptionally busy. Most people had pre booked their meals on arrival. I did explain to you, when you were concerned about your meal the second night....

Had a great time at this hotel. Staff were warmly and the food was excellent. 7 course taster menu. Peter who booked us in seems to be a passionate owner of this hotel which has lots of history and a chequered past. Lovely grounds and lots to do at the hotel or nearby. Many thanks.

Hi Many thanks for leaving your lovely review. We do have a lot of history at the hotel. The original Caer Beris in 406 would have been a lot different to the existing house. A little draughtier I would have imagined. Regards Peter

The lounge area's have open fire's and just make you want to relax and kick back. We will be visiting again as the restaurant is worth...

Visited this wonderful hotel for an overnight stay on the 11th of Feb. It was a gift for our valentine. We were very lucky that it was for once a sunny day. We were greeted and shown around by a very friendly receptionist. The room was warm and the bed so comfortable. Breakfast was served quickly, and was one of...

Many thanks for taking the time to leave your review. As you say, our setting with the river running around our 27 acres, id very special - more special if you have your fishing rod with you. The Tasting Menu gives people to try things they perhaps would not have thought of ordering, but I hope you enjoyed the other...

We stayed for one night after a seven course tasting menu. All the staff are very helpful and friendly.
