Absolutely brilliant, lovely breakfast and Jean is just the best. I will definitely be back. The bed was so comfy and the house was lovely and quiet. Jean had loads of advice for places to go and where to eat.

We stayed here on Saturday night as we were guests at a wedding nearby in Llangattock. We had the family room which was ample for 2 adults and our teenage daughter. The room had plenty of storage for us. Jean made us most welcome with plenty of tea & coffee available in the room, she even let us borrow an...

We stayed here during the Greenman festival. Jean was so welcoming and accommodating even when we had to arrive a day later than originally planned. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great. A really lovely find and I'm sure we'll be back. Thank you for looking after us so well!

We have stayed here at least three times and each time our stay has been pleasant. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The room overlooking the field has amazing views. The dining room also has good views. Jean our host was very accommodating. Breakfast was delicious and ample. The property is just a short walk away from the town...

Only stayed one night. Very welcoming host even though we arrived late. Excellent full English breakfast, in fact we couldn't finish it all!! If ever in the area again and need a B&B, this will be on our list. Porth y Berllan certainly is a gem.

We spent the weekend in this great little B&B. Couldn't fault it in any way. The breakfasts were delicious, the accommodation was spot on, (even in the smaller of the two rooms) as was the hospitality and located within easy access to the town and beyond. What more can you ask for!

We had a wonderful stay at Porth-y-Berllan. Jean could not have been more welcoming as a host. She gave us good suggestions for local hikes, made the most amazing breakfasts, and made us feel at home in every way. The room had a lovely view and it was the perfect place to end our holiday.

We would definitely return to Porth-Y-Berllian. We stayed for 3 nights in Room 2 which was spacious and quiet and had lovely views across the town to the mountains beyond. The breakfasts are excellent (no need for lunch!) and the proprietors friendly and helpful. There are lots of lovely walks locally particularly along by the River usk and the Mon...

I was walking the Cambrian Way when I stayed for a night here. I got a very warm and friendly welcome when I arrived and, as it was a very hot day, I was given some chilled water to help cool me down. It is not far from town where there are pubs, restaurants and takeaways for evening meals. My...

I stayed for 4 nights at Porth-y-Berllan, and very much enjoyed it! The room was just big enough, and well-proportioned with a bathroom that is big enough to move around in - something I find very important - and the bed was fairly comfortable. The breakfast was fantastic, and most of all I found myself feeling very comfortable - on...

“I stayed in room 1, with the double bed, and for a single person this was perfect. It might be a bit small for two people, in which case room 2 might be a better fit.”

“We were in the smaller room - which was adequate, but the bigger of the two rooms would have been better.”

“One room is rather larger than the other, so do specify if you need the space.”

“The room with the view to Table Mountain is the smaller room towards the road above the breakfast room, if you enjoy a more valley'ish view or need a bigger room the other one next to it will be another great option.”
