We arrived on a Saturday to a cold cabin that hadn't been opened for a while. The beds were uncomfortable, at least four of the light fixtures required replacement bulbs, the smoke detector was disabled, the pillows and bedding were old and had a musty smell. Furthermore, when we called to inquire as to why our fireplace didn't work, we... More

After paying a premium rental price, we walked into a very dirty and basic cabin. Bruce McDow, the manager of Cottage Country, has refused to return any of our phone calls and e-mails. Certainly not an appropriate response. The lake itself is lovely... Beautiful swimming and boating. And we found the neighboring cabin owners to be friendly and helpful.

We arrived excited to see our cottage which was cute but once inside we realized we were not alone. There was fruit flies everywhere and the next morning they were inside of our packaged food...ie; danishes and cookies. I spoke with the owner who simply shrugged his shoulders and said it's exceptable and said no refunds period. To note as... More

The only good thing about "Cottage at the Cove", #56, is the location, right on the lake! This cottage needs a lot of attention: the hide-a-bed in the living room could not be slept on due to it's poor condition - had to take off the mattress and make a bed on the floor; screen on the patio door was... Was iff'y up to when they charged us for cleaning the sheets. I called them on it, they said they had to spend 2 extra hours cleaning the place. My wife and I are clean freaks. When we arrived we had to clean the place. To say they had to clean it afterwards is nothing by a scam. All these... More

Very dirty. I cleaned the bathtub and toilet and we swept ourselves. Bath tub juts and soap scum line on bath tub was nasty. There was hair everywhere, along with cobwebs. Wayyyyyy overpriced for that crap. I called the front desk and asked for a brush and bleach so I could clean the tub myself. They brought me cleaning supplies... More

Perfect setting - right on the Lake, ideal location for a summer holiday. We checked in on Saturday for a weeks rental of Cottage #56, Cottage on the Cove. We have never paid this much for a cottage but we thought it would be the ideal place for our mom who uses a cane for mobility but it definitely was... More

We stayed here in the cabin Pine Grove and loved it! Quite spacious...3 large bedrooms that easily sleeps 6 people plus a couch on the main level and 3 couches in the basement where the pool table is. There is a canoe and your own beautiful dock and a fire pit also a bbq to use and basic kitchen necessities...no... More

SO, 2 years later we went back for 2 nights due to the location and privacy (we rented some awful places during the past 2 years). It must be under new management as I was pleasantly surprised. We ended up getting the same cottage, which was much cleaner than before and not as musty (discovered the smell is coming from... More

I have never had a worse experience at a rental cottage. We were told that WiFi was provided, along with satellite TV. Neither worked the first day and night. The modem for our internet was in another cottage that wasn't being rented, so we couldn't even reset it to try and bring it back up. We were also told a... More
