Went to this hotel as an extension of a National Geographic trip to Patagonia. The property is gorgeous and has a minimum impact on the environment. It's a 20 min trip to town but there is no reason to go there. The guides arrange for daily hikes and are very well educated on the history of the island. The hotel...

Truly, I did not know what to expect when I booked a trip to Easter Island. One thing I know is I did not expect to find such wonderful accommodations! The lodge is so thoughtfully, intelligently laid out. The rooms are very, very comfortable, well lit, with good bathrooms and great views. The food and wine are of exceptional quality....

Explora at its best is superb. The rooms are well designed and well appointed. The concept of good food, good wines, and guided walking tours of this iconic island is insipired. Unfortunately the execution sometimes does not live up to the dream. We were there for five nights over new year. About 50% of our guided tours were excellent. Intelligent,...

Girls trip to Easter Island with the goal of combining sight seeing and exercise. If you are in great shape you need to organize a private guide otherwise you could be in a widely diverse group in terms of athletic ability.

Dear Traveler, Thank you very much for your feedback. We are very concern about your comments because the explorations are what make us unique. We want our travelers to interact and engage not only with reason, but also with senses, emotions and physical activity. All our explorations have different difficulty levels ranging from easy to expert, and different durations, half...

We stayed at Explora Rapa Nui for four days in January. The accommodations were lovely and fitting for the environment and in a quiet area. The staff was superb and attentive. They noticed from my husbands passport that it was his birthday and commented on it....he didn't want a fuss and said to please not sing, etc. However, they discretely...

My son and I took a trip of a lifetime from U.K. To Easter Island. I am sure we would have enjoyed whatever the accommodation but Explora Rapa Nui enhanced the visit in so many ways: excursion to every part of the Island we walked for a day round the least explored area, picnic prepared by the hotel, after a...

My friend and I stayed here for two of our three nights on Easter Island and it is, by far, the best resort on the island. The excursion program is a well-oiled machine -- the guides do a great job of putting you into groups of like fitness/interests, and they take you to the most important sites on the island....

Explora is all about going out and being adventurous. In my wildest dreams I would have crawled into caves but our guide provided such a degree of comfort that I did. Rapa Nui was our third Explora and we are looking forward to our fourth one within the year. It is all about the guides, the atmosphere and the service...

This was our third stay at an Explora in Chile and I must say that it exceeded all our expectations. Having decided to make the long trip from Santiago to Rapa Nui and back, we were pampered and given a marvelous experience during our 3 night stay. The team of guides is extraordinarily well prepared and organized and all our...
