This place is just off the dock and the balcony has a decent view of the water and all those seals. It's cheap with simple, clean rooms. Just rock up for a cheaper room, they have lots so you won't miss out. And enjoy the Galápagos Islands! They're excellent.

Hostal SF was all that we needed for our two nights on San Cristóbal. It's not fancy in any way but it is clean and cheap. There's hot water too. The location is perfect and we got a sea view for no extra cost. San Francisco is a solid option for budget travellers who want to just rock up and...

We shopped around for the cheapest place we could find in San Cristobal and found a double room here for $25/night for two of us. The hostel needs a coat of paint but otherwise the owners were nice, the bed was comfortable and clean, the water was hot and there were fans for the warm afternoons. A good choice if...

The hostal is very well located on the main street close to the pier. The room close to the tv is a little noisy but can get the wi fr connection easy. I used the kitchen very limitedly to store my boiled eggs, cheese and yogurt.

Hostal San Francisco has decent rooms, but along with the prices, which are a bit high for area, and the lack of a communal kitchen to prepare your meals, there's the constant unpleasantness of dealing with the land lady, which makes sure to give out an attitude of disdain. Personally, I wouldn't recommend it.

It looked good initially. Good price, good location... but as soon as I laid down a couple of items on a dresser, tiny little bugs came out from behind the dresser and started walking all over my stuff. I don't know what they were... but I did not stay another night. I checked out in the morning.

Just recently returned from Galapagos and spent 5 nights on San Cristobal Island in the Hostal San Francisco before leaving on a cruise. Hostal San Francisco is right on the Malecon, the owners are helpful, the rooms are clean, my room had windows for light (but not a view) and a private bath - one person- $15 a night! I...

This hotel is located right on the Main Street across from the harbour, awesome location. It's simple but clean, hot water worked well when we were there, staff were friendly and it was cheap so no complaints here! The only thing it lacked was wifi and we looked at other hotels that had wifi, they were the same standard of...

We stayed here a total of four nights and had a really good time. The owners are nice, the rooms are cleaned every day, the location is perfect, and the prices are very good. Worth staying if you are on a budget.

When you don't care about hot showers this is a considerable good option, with a great private room for just $15. The place is clean, and located on the boulevard. The only relevant question is why they didn't build a bar on the perfect balkony at the 2nd floor. But just buy some beers at a minimarket and enjoy the...
