First thing I would like to say is I highly recommend our guide, T.K., who did a Five Star outstanding job. Very professional, vast knowledge of the wildlife and its locations, professional and an all-around great guy! When we arrived at the landing strip, our bags were dropped into the Land Rover and the adventure started immediately. On the drive...

Tubu Tree was our first stop on a safari in the Okavango Delta. The rooms are nice and well suited for the environment. Despite having limited cooking facilities, the food was quite good. All staff were very warm and helpful. General was fantastic as our guide and tracker. Although the game was very plentiful, the only predators we saw were...

We loved this tree camp, it hardly even seems as that. It is so nicely kept up, the staff is so kind and diligent. It's at a beautiful location, you see animals running by all the time. We couldn't have been happier, this was our favorite location that we visited in Botswana for a safari.

This camp has everything. It is well located for both water and land activities. The wildlife is right outside your door and sighting of leopard and lion only minutes away from camp. The bird life is abundant as with all other mammals to be seen. Watching the leopard, lions and journey of giraffe were my favourites. The boat ride found...

We spent 3 glorious nights at Tubu Tree. The accommodation was luxurious, the food was tasty (and plentiful) and we were treated like royalty. We saw a vast variety of game (lion, leopard, elephant, hippos etc). Special thanks to Penyo - our dedicated, knowledgeable and committed guide.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Remote leopard viewing enclave on the western floodplains of the Okavango.Tubu Tree lies on the remote Hunda Island, the largest area of permanently dry land in this region of the Okavango Delta. As its name implies, it lies in the dappled shade of large trees, its raised dining and lounge, pool and open bar areas almost within the canopy of a marula tree and looking out over a grassy floodplain. The whole camp is connected by raised wooden boardwalks so that one can literally wander amongst the leaves.HighlightsTubu Tree’s location and easy access to both water and dry-land habitats, ranging from dry Kalahari sandveld to mopane and riverine forest edging on permanent waterways, ensures varied and spectacular game viewing. There are good concentrations of zebra and wildebeest on the floodplains as well as elephant, red lechwe, tsessebe and giraffe. Leopard and spotted hyaena viewing is particularly good. 8 Tents (including 1 Family Tent): Raised on wooden platforms, en-suite bathrooms; outdoor shower; private front deckExperiences: Day and night game drivesBoating and mokoro excursions (seasonal) Catch-and-release fishing (seasonal) Seasonal hide for sleep-outs or game viewing ... more   less
