I'm sorry to stay the bungalows are in some serious need of investment. I stayed here 13 years ago and little has changed internally from back then. The location is great and the design and size of the bungalows is good but there was an overwhelming smell of damp which was backed up by blown plasterwork at the skirting board...

We stayed in the a beautiful Hilltop Camp self catering chalet at the end of January 2017 as walk-ins with no reservations. It was a bit dated in style from some of the other Park Facilities, for example Didima in the Drakensburg area but it was wonderful. We did not need the self catering feature as we dined in the...

We had a wonderful time and experience at Hluhluwe game reserve. Our accommodation was lovely apart from some damp paint issues. Number 45 is on the fence and perfect for when we had a male lion roar 50 meters away! The kids loved it and we will be back. Great game viewing and very pretty and scenic self drives. Only...

I went to the game reserve with family who live in South Africa who go on safari quite often so have all the kit. The reserve is vast and we were up very early to drive around. We saw 4 of the big 5 and watched as some lions stalked the buffalo as they crossed the river. If you want...

We love to self drive and chill the day away with amazing animal sightings slow driving but after visiting Hluhluwe Umfolozi Hilltop restaurant twice in the last 6 months I can honestly say that things appear to be going from bad to worse. The last time we were there in September we had visitors with us from the UK and...

For some time we had wanted to stay in the Hluhuwe-Imfolozi National Park and eventually had the opportunity on route back from the KZN North Coast. The park itself is beautiful, in parts quite mountainous, but with stunning views and vegetation in spite of the recent lack of rain. There is game, especially Rhino and Buffalo but definitely less than...

the hill top camp is centrally ln the Hluhluwe reserve. There is an outstanding view , however the rooms are old and the place would benefit a lot from a refurbishment ... especially the rooms. we were there on Dec 31st and ... nothing had been organised.

I haven´t been to Hluhluwe since early 80ties when I stayed in the old camp in a rondavel. This time we also booked a rondavel and it was a pleasant surprise. Well equipped with kitchen equipment and fan and aricon. The aircon was excellent to have when it was almost 43 degrees and so was the swimming pool. Had forgotten...

The accommodation comprises of hutson that are air conditioned with a sink and running water. The ablutions are close by. Amazing place to stay with an outdoor swimming pool close by. Being so close to the game reserve allows visitors (monkeys) to wander free as well as other animals so keep your doors closed and locked when you leave! The...

We had a wonderful time at Mthazi lodge with our boys. We had a fantastic game drive in the morning. We were unlucky though, we only saw three of the big five, which was disappointing. But we had a great time.
