we stayed only a few days in Sidi Bou Said and we loved everything about this hotel, the decor, the location, the rooms, the little swimmimg pool, the breakfast and mostly the owners, Amel and Patrick who are great hosts and will make you feel like at home. They are so full of advices where to go, where to eat...

We stayed in Dar Fatma back in Oct, 2014. We arrived late in the evening and it was not easy to find by car. But when we walked in, we were stunned: the setting was so cozy, and the owner that greeted us looked exactly like Gandalf the Grey! Breakfast in the morning was amazing, and the whole town was...

I stayed for a week at Dar Fatma and was so happy that I followed a friends advice to do so. The hotel is situated at the very top of Sidi Bou Said, a beautiful old village just 20 minutes outside the much more roaring Tunis. From the rooftop you can enjoy the view, the sun and watch it set...

I choosed this B&B Hotel because the World famous Designer Philippe Starck designed it. As an architect & designer myself I was interested, how he solved the problems between Tradition & Moderne, an old Riadh House, modern Technology & Design. Both he did with smart elegance, minimalism & Tunesian Decor. I had a wonderful view over the roofs & sea,...

We decide to book this hotel for very good review on the lonely planet guide. Is a very nice place with rooms super precise on fornitures and details. There is a beatiful terrace but during winter is too cold. The plase is not easy to find. The room on the patio (the one we have) have no view and the...

i have been looking forward to staying at this hotel after reading all the positive reviews - great views, great location. but i was very disappointed. firstly they gave us a room on the ground floor - though i had asked for a room on a high floor. we had no privacy, the window opens to the courtyard/dining area. and...

We spent three nights in this guest house and it was perfect. Great location, great breakfast, great view, small swimming pool but just what you need to chill out in the sun, great tips to go around Sidi Bou Said and Tunis, working wifi... No complaint at all.

We thought this place was really very charming. The view from the room and the roof was nice. Knowing that it was a little off the beaten path we actually enjoyed its slightly hidden location (with a screen shot of the map you have no problems, but just telling a taxi driver the name won't help you). The room was...

We stayed about a week in this nicely decorated boutique hotel. Our choice was made because of the location and the photo's on the website. It's true, the building is charming, just like the Sidi bou Said village. Away from the hectic traffic in Tunis and just a small walk from the sea. And there is not a lot of...

The house itself is OK but nodding towards standard boring "boutique": i.e., a lot of beige, brown, fawn & chrome fittings in an otherwise traditional interior. I slept in a room (much photographed on the hotel's website) where the room was backed by a giant, plastic blow-up of a photograph of pre-independence Tunis, and God it was sticky (the plastic)...

“Ask for a room which i NOT on the ground floor. I was lucky enough not to stay there, but I watched the dissapointment on the faces of people who did. Rooms there are quite exposed to all activity in the courtyard and therefore not really private. Also they are quite dark as opposed to the rooms on the upper levels”

“Ask NOT to be woken until you want to be woken. Clarify internet access and availability of air-conditioning so as to fully understand what awaits you. Access to taxis requires some effort and having a rental car for your stay, would be highly impractical, as parking and general access via the narrow, winding streets in Sidi Bou Said is not the type of driving that would make all drivers feel comfortable with.”
