Hotel Sal Luna Salada Not Really a 4-star Hotel Traveling through the Atacama Desert and the Uyuni Salt Flats, my wife and I encountered all sorts of lodging arrangements, from shared dormitories with no showers, to private rooms with shared restroom facilities that didn’t include hot water. When we compare our experiences with this hotel, it certainly looks to be...

Staying at Sal Luna Salada was a wonderful experience that is not to be missed. As soon as you walk in you can tell you are somewhere special. We stayed in the deluxe room with a view and it was magnificent. The food at breakfast and dinner was delicious and really added to the experience. The rooms were spacious and...

Stayed here for 1 night last September (sorry been busy since we got back!) after visiting Salt Flats which is in itself an incredible experience and not to be missed.. Located in the middle of nowhere this is an amazing piece of architecture. Beautiful communal areas, corridors and rooms and of course incredible views over the salt flats. Restaurant and...

After 3 days exploring Salar d'Uyuni we decided to spend one night relaxing in this 4 stars hotel instead of leaving the same day to La Paz. We booked a room with a view on the desert and we had a view on the desert for about 15 minutes before the place in front of our room turned in a...

Located remotely. took 30 minutes by car from Uyuni downtown, which cost 100-150 Bolivian peso. Built on the top of hill so its view was spectacular. Impressive with the star sky at night and sunset on the salt flats. Wifi did work in my room #107 and worked well in lobby. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Dinner buffet cost...

A stay in this place is as unique an experience as a stay at the Ice hotels in Scandinavia or tree top canopy suites in remote rainforests. This Hotel is one of the most extraordinary ideas in the hotel world. It doesn’t just command a panoramic view over the glittering Salt Flats of Uyuni – it is itself actually built...

Luna Salada is apparently one of the nicest and most upscale places to stay in the Uyuni area. It is very nicely decorated in a local style. The check in was very smooth and we were given the room before the check in time, which was very appreciated. The room was quite large, with a beautiful view over the salar....

Great location looking out over Salar, rooms nice with some lovely lounge areas but the whole place lacked atmosphere, the lounge areas were empty and some were locked up. A jug of water for guests on the unattended bar had plastic cups and no place for complimentary tea or coffee. Food in the restaurant was average which was disappointing considering...

The hotel itself is lovely with stunning views. Salt flooring in bedrooms is a nightmare but the building and interior itself is pretty nice, very similar to an ice hotel in Sweden. Now, when we got there there was nobody at the reception and they eventually turn up after about an hour. Mid week this hotel is a ghost town,...

The whole hotel is made out of salt, and I thought that it was mabye just the pictures on the website that made it look this way, but every where you go the floors, walls, bed frames, etc. are made out of salt!! There is definitely a charm and uniqueness to this hotel and the fact that you can see...
