Five nights made perfect by great staff and a great facility, great value for money. The room was well prepared, clean and everything we needed. I was impressed by the extras that came free from the daily drop off in Nuku Alofa, the bikes to the help yourself to the bananas. Sven sorted everything for us, Carolina (apologies for spelling...

I stayed for 7 nights and was thoroughly spoilt by the owners and staff who were so friendly and accommodating. I had a wonderful relaxing and fun time a Heilala and recommend it to anyone. The room facilities were so clean and quiet, I slept so well and the food was delicious and tasty. The free city trip offered by...

We stayed at Heilala for three nights. Overall, this place is really nice. The accomodation is nice and clean, and the atmosphere was very quiet and relaxing. We ate in the restaurant the whole time, and the food was good, although the lunches could be a little stingy! A word of warning about the beach - it's really nice, but...

Friendly, unpretentious and good value. We just spent six nights here and really liked it. It's not the most deluxe place but frankly we don't need the tinkly-tinkly stuff when all we want is a bit of beach time and to relax. Nice beach, although not much good for swimming an hour or so each side of low tide. The...

From the second we arrived at the airport, greeted by Tina wreathed in smiles and brandishing a lei we knew we were in for a real treat. We chose Heilala largely from trip advisor reviews and are so glad we did as all the glowing reports were nothing but accurate. Tonga is unique in the pacific, as it is still...

This was my third visit to Tonga over the past year and have stayed at Heilala each time. The accommodation (standard room this time) was clean and functional and only a short distance from the communal toilets and shower in one direction and kitchen in the other. The tropical breakfasts were yummy and the dinners we had did not disappoint....

Room: Bungalow roomy, clean and functional. Bed a bit firm, but not uncomfortably so. Table and chairs that also fit on small patio/front balcony. Even numbered rooms have afternoon sun on patio. The bungalows have hammocks that fit on front balcony, nice place to read or nap. Bunglows are far enough apart to assure privacy. Public areas: Lots of outside...

We spent 7 days at Heilala in a superior fale and loved every minute. The staff are friendly and helpful, special thanks to Tina who met us at the airport with big smile and beautiful lei, she also is a waitress and an impressive dancer. The fale was comfortable and clean, the free fruit and toast breakfasts delicious and we...

We stayed at Heilala recently for 5 nights as a nice break. Unfortunately our flight into Tonga was delayed about 5 hours so we arrived quite late at the night but we and a few other fellow travelers were greeted by Heilala staff at the airport with lovely leis. It is a decent drive from the airport to the resort...

This was our first island holiday and we loved it. Heilala is very clean, very friendly and in a stunning location. We ate at the little restaurant most nights and loved the food which was beautifully presented, light and flavoursome. A couple of times we cooked in the small, basic communal kitchen using food we had brought with us plus...
