Let me preface my review with two caveats - first, everything on Tanna is ridiculously expensive, sometimes for no logical reason. At a roughly USD 80 a night price point, Rocky Ridge is not cheap, but then nothing on Tanna is. The cabins are pretty basic with a roughly 8' x 8' room with a small attached bathroom - a...

Rocky Ridge is family-run and linked to a nearby community. It offers decent accommodation, good quality food (local option, limited choice, but ample and cheap), and the amenities are not luxury but comfortable enough. The location is near the airport, and all tours are organized with minimal fuss. The Blue Hole nearby is spectacular and the view from your balcony...

We spent 4 days here last Christmas and had a very pleasant stay. The accommodation is very sweet in charming little bungalows. The beds were comfortable, mosquito nets were provided and hot water/electricity was available all day. The hosts, Tom and Margaret and their family are just simply wonderful people. We really valued their kindness and friendliness throughout our stay....

This is tough to write as there was so much we liked but our overall experience suffered from some things that could easily be addressed. Loved the rooms despite our shower falling apart. That happens. Incredible outlook for sunset and access to blue hole. We did blue cave too and felt it was overpriced despite being a memorable experience, but...

We stayed at local Ni-Vatu owned bungalows at all the outer islands. The five star is for the price and comfort level of basic bungalows compared with other places we stayed in Vanuatu and other foreign owned places we dined in. It is quiet and beautiful here. The beds were the most comfortable we experienced and the sheets were very...

If you come to Tanna Island, then be prepared for a different kind of adventure that offers the opportunity to step back in time where culture rules and modernisation takes a back seat. The Rocky Ridge Bungalows offers you a truly authentic island escape with magical raw 'hut' experience (with the commodities of shower and bathroom). The location is idyllic...

We (1 Dad and 3 daughters) really looked to stay at places run by NiVanuatu. Rocky Ridge was so cool, Margaret and Thomas were friendly and so humble and with only 4 bungalows it is very personable. Blue Hole number 1 was amazing (bring reef shoes) and anything we wanted to do was organised. Food was very reasonably priced. And...

I recognise that delivering a good service in Tanna can be difficult due to the expense and availability of everything. But i was still quite disappointed feom my stay here. My main complaints were the food: nearly everything was unavailable everyday. Our only lunch option was a tuna sandwich and it's that 70vt bluefin tuna which is horrible. Also, they...

Rooms can be on the small side, and you'll need to sleep in a bug net but we had a great stay. Tom & Margaret welcomed us and the snorkelling was fantastic just a stones throw from our room. Breakfast is tea and toast, but other dishes are good value at 200VT. Beware there is no internet, but you of...

Such a peaceful, relaxing atmosphere. Beautiful flowers and landscaping, and a few cute cats running around too! The blue hole in the ocean in front is great, though reef shoes are an absolute must, as it isn't called rocky ridge for nothing! The rocks are so sharp! Simple accommodation, but very clean and well presented, with flowers on all the...
