We really enjoyed our stay at Tshima Bush Camp. The owners are superfriendly and helpfull, the camp is a real paradise with lots of birds and the safaritents are lovely. Our kids also really liked it and didn't want to leave the place.

Bas and Anita haven't been running the camp for a long time yet but they are doing all the right things! A warm welcome with a cool pitcher of water awaits you when you arrive hot and dusty. Friendly, welcoming hosts Anita and Bas have created a perfect place to stop over just 30 km from Maun. Our tent was very clean and comfortable, private and peaceful, and we slept very well! Enjoyed walking on the paths near the tents and down by the river. Birdlife is extensive; a highlight was the two eagle owls together in a tree...

Nice welcome from Bas and Anita the new owners just out from Holland. The tents are simply furnished, provisions basic. Nice location in a wooded area next to a river if you need a stroll. On the main road (101) about 30km from Maun it is convenient for overnighting and the accommodation is better value than can be had in...

Nice tents and a good breakfast served in front of the tent. Since it is not too close to Maun and driving when it is dark is not advisable an excellent meal is prepared upon request. Rene and Michel did a great job to make us feel comfortable. Information given was informative and very helpful.

A great welcome awaits all-comers from Rene and Michel at this well established campsite. “What a place!” is interpreted as “water please” which reflects the owners’ humour and hospitality. Indeed they are both greatly generous with their time and resources, and full of information about the surrounds, things to do and see. Well outside Maun, the wildlife here is greatly...

We stayed here for one night before heading on a kayak safari on the Okavango Delta. The camp is around 30 minutes out of Maun, but pick-up and drop-off is available if you’re flying in and don’t intend to rent a car. The camp consists of 4 large, comfortable tents in a large compound – over 60 acres on the...

We were recommended this Camp by another accommodation provider in Maun that was full when we enquired about rooms and we were not disappointed. Although about 20 mins SE of Maun it was easy to find. We were welcomed by Rene and he showed us around our excellent tent which had all mod cons and proved extremely comfortable. We stayed...

A genuine bush experience close to the convenience of Maun and the stunning beauty of the Okavango Delta. Tshima Bush Camp is a small, intimate camp close to Maun, the iconic safari town of Botswana. It is situated on 30 hectares of natural bush with direct access to the Nhabe river. Our Meru style tents provide comfort and lots of privacy. Walking trails invite guests to explore the area. You may find duiker, aardvark and a huge variety of birds. From time to time, elephants pass by as well and hippos inhabit the river. The camp serves as an excellent spot to spend the night while travelling between various treasures in Botswana. Furthermore, it is a perfect base for exploring nearby natural treasures such as the world-famous Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Nxai Pan National Park. The village of Komana is located close by and can be explored to get a glimpse of Botswana village life.
