A friend and I toured Morocco starting from Agadir we went East: Taznakht, Ait Ben Hadou, Ourzazate, Valley of Dades, Todra and finally we wanted to visit the famous Dunes of Merzouga, the Erg Chebbi. Relying on information we can get from the Internet, in the local cafes and the guidebook, we chanced going without any bookings ahead of our...

I and my wife visited Morocco in august 2009, which means a very very hot period of the year for this country. We rented a car in casablanca and drove around through many of the best known locations. We anyway decided to spend 3 days far from chaotic moroccain cities and out of traditional touristic tracks thus we looked on...

We were met by a representative of the hotel in the Restaurant du Sud in Erfoud. We drove in convoy through Rissani and then left offroad along a 10km piste. We only had a 2WD but it was still OK despite several stretches of sand. The Kasbah is completed isolated with only a couple of telecom towers visible in the...

We were actually heading a little further on when we chanced upon the Auberge Kasbah Said. It's in the desert south of Erfoud and not the easiest place to find. Take the minor road from the town centre that goes through the market area and over the river then drive past the fossil vendor places until the metalled road runs...
