We stayed here for one night en route between Oudtshoorn and Cape Town in a family chalet. Although the main lodge building is very pleasant and it was great for our kids to interact with the resident Warthog and Meercat, compared with other 3 star lodges this one needs a facelift. Parts of our chalet were frankly unpleasant, notably the...

Many private game/nature reserves often lean towards being just a touch pretentious. This is not the case with Nyaru. The place is a tranquil, family-friendly getaway, about a half hour from Mossel Bay. My parents and I visited the reserve two Saturdays ago, just to have some much-needed down-time. We weren’t really sure what to expect, because after all, we’re...

A beautiful little bush paradise no more than 15 km from the sea. The staff is friendly, helpful and well educated as demonstrated on the game drives. We had a lovely picnic in the bush which was skillfully prepared and presented by the kitchen staff. Pool was clean and inviting. Accommodation was excellent, beautifully done.

What an amazing experience at this Game Lodge and reserve! Very tranquil and an ideal weekend away destination! I highly recommend them for any occasion. Beautiful animals and superb accommodation :) It's in close proximity of the beautiful Mosselbay and a stone throw away from the sea. Wildlife right outside your doorstep. Staff are very friendly and helpful

This was such a good afternoon in the company of guide, Lood, who was really interesting and engaging. Day was bright and hot, saw almost all the animals in the park and guide was so easy going regarding photo opportunities, got some brilliant pics thanks Lood! Highly recommended!

Firstly let me start by saying if you want big and dangerous don't go here. We didn't want big and dangerous we wanted several days here to unwind some and meet some animals. When we arrived it appeared to be disorganized chaos, but the lodge was going through an ownership transition and it was more a case of everyone being...

If you want to get back in touch with nature, then this is the place for you. The lodge is rustic, the food is great and the view is amazing. Being able to sip on wine while watching the animals roam close to the lodge is a wonderful experience. The best is the nyala bulls that try to compete for...
