Ras Mbisi is Laura! She couldn't have been nicer and more helpful along with her pet squirrel, Choppy - I think! Food was simple but good and a lovely dinner just for the two of us laid on one night. The bandas are comfortable but the bed is rather hard. Simple but surprisingly efficient shower, loo and two basins. We...

Stayed there last year with my wife. The resort was fantastic, the manager Laura and her colleague were very accommodating and made us feel at home, the food was nice, the 4 hand massage is something special! They can cater for a private exclusive dinner for you and your partner, which was fantastic, at no additional cost!

Well what can I say about this barefoot luxury with miles of beach all to yourself! There was only 6 of us and we had the whole place to ourselves. Eat what you want, drink what you want, talk what you want kinda place. Laura doesn't mind! Just switch off, unwind and let it all out! That's what Mafia is...

We really enjoyed to stay here in Mafia during Easter. Specially this lodge made us good experience here. Michela and Laura supported a lot. Food : it was really great. Specially seafood cuisine. Accomodation : sea view is available from the banda. Some mosquitos were there Really nice ocean view and we could relax very well.

Beautiful beautiful location on a stretch of otherwise deserted beach - from the water all you can see is palm trees for miles. Very warm welcome from Laura the manager plus squirrel! The accommodation was pretty but quite exposed - the sides are open and there is only electricity at certain times of day - bugs and heat were quite...

Now I know what "in the middle of nowhere" means. A beautiful lodge on a remote island in the Indian Ocean is a perfect place to do nothing. Well, actually to do a lot - walking along empty beaches (kilometers of empty beaches!), visiting a fishermen village, swimming at arm's length from whale sharks (one of very few places in...

Beautiful and original room overlooking a pristine beach. The piloti bungalows are completely open to let as much air flowing as possible. The staff is very helpful. It is really worth the 1 hour trip from the airport, even if the road is quite bumpy.

We stayed here in October this year for seven nights after a four day safari, and can recommend it highly if you fancy something away from the masses in Zanzibar. The accommodation was lovely, faced the sea and were very roomy. Food was generally excellent, and obviously sea food features highly. sadly I am not a great sea food lover and...

Visited Ras Mbisi as part of a package deal with Auric Air and never regretted booking it. I felt warmly welcome from the first moment I got there. A fresh coconut milk welcome drink and a nice chat with Laura on arrival were a wonderful start. The rooms/bungalows are amazing. Spacious, luxurious and all sort of outdoors which makes you...

We visited Ras Mbisi for the second week of our honeymoon and cannot speak highly enough of it. The location, accommodation and activities were fantastic with the most incredible white (empty) beach at the doorstep of your hut. The people though also were what made this so special, Laura the owner and all of the staff were incredibly attentive and...

“It seemed that all the huts were the same. Their distance from the main building is an individual preference. We were in a hut farther away, and really enjoyed the walk back under the starlight magnificent sky every night. An additional treat.”

“All Bandas are great with sea view”
of 5 bubbles GolfnSpa, 8 Jan 2014 | Read review
“All bandas are facing the ocean. However, some are set back a little further and as a result have less of a wide open view. Ask for a banda that is set closer to the beach if the uninterrupted view is important to you (and what a view it is).”
