Had a wonderful time and fantastic scenery! The staff were all great, wonderful food. The lodge was beautiful, from the hot bubble bath after safari to the fire in the evening. & Beyond the best! Alex was our fantastic guide!

The Best Lodge with the Best Views in the World! This place is truly Heaven on Earth! I will never forget my time there. Watching the Sunsets, looking down into the Crater! It was like a dream! The Food was amazing, the staff were so great and the Suite was lovely. I also loved the Masai entertainment at night! I...

After 2 previous wonderful camps this was so different and a real treat. Fabulous rooms and the all ready hot bath with floral decoration when we arrived back from a long game drive was a delight. The opulence of the rooms was a joy and the food was delightful. A very big thank you to everyone but especially to our...

Opulent, luxurious, with an 5 star backdrop. The rooms were large, complete with a soaking tub and fireplace. The "lodge" was gorgeous- a "pinch me, I must be dreaming" kind of a place. And the animals are nestled in the crater- a nearby drive. The sunsets were amazing here.

We came to the crater to see the amazing landscape and wildlife, but just as amazing was the lodge itself and the staff who blew us away. The view from the lodge takes your breath away! Our guide, Henry, was as informative as he was friendly. We spent 2 days with him and learned not only about the crater (caldera)...

The lodge is a collection of African-style villas, with huge rooms, standalone bath-tubs, and balconies giving breath-taking views of the crater. There are zebras in and around the huts all the time, and they are friendly neighbours. The main room has a beautiful living area with a fire made for story-telling. They serve delicious, refined food in the dining area...

If you love wildlife, this is the place to be! Recently been with mi girlfriend and had the best 3 days every. The rooms are old school, but very cosy with a lovely bath-tub. The restaurant is also very good. But the best part are the game drives. Just make sure to wake up early to make the most out...

This lodge ranked a unanimous #1 amongst five that our family visited in our 8-day safari trip to Tanzania over the Christmas 2016 holiday. All were fabulous, but the combination of funky architecture, antiques, comfort, service, food, fireplaces, rose petals, views from the rim of the crater made Crater Lodge the winner. We were lucky enough to be in the...

My family stayed at the lodge last week and had an incredible stay. The rooms are 5 star, the staff is friendly and efficient. The food is top notch. Seeing the Buffalo on the lawn as we walked to and from dinner was just one of the many highlights of our stay. Irene is a fantastic host, her passion and...

We traveled to Ngorongoro at the end of an amazing bush and beach time with both andBeyond and Kempinski. We had first heard about Ngorongoro from a South African ranger in Kruger who had only heard about how incredible the place was and who told us about the unique environment, so it was in our minds. We then saw Tony...
