Stayed for one night prior to Ijen hike. The food is ok. Strawberry juice is cheap here and there is free flow of coffee. I find the room spacious and the bed quite comfortable although it is a bit difficult to fall asleep during prayers. The sink is outside the toilet which is quite practical.

My tour guide did warn me that this place is really basic and he recommended it only based on its proximity to Ijen, or it would have meant we have to be up and about at midnight or even earlier. With hindsight - i rather wake up earlier after having a better rest elsewhere. This is unnecessarily grueling. The surrounds... More

terrible homestay, We did not even dare to take the breakfast. They don't care about their customers. It is dirty, there was a dirty used toothbrush on our towels. The problem is that there are no other options in this area, so they are lucky to still have customers.

Based on all of the reviews, I was expecting this to be a horrendous experience but, like everyone else, didn't really have a choice. However, it was not nearly as bad as I expected. The rooms were simple but ours was clean. The toilet was fine. We had a sink in our room (rather than bathroom) so it was enough... More

We booked a tour for the ijen hike and this was the only place we could sleep. Overall, the ijen trip makes up for the poor hotel, but this is still the worst place I ever slept. The rooms have no AC, are dirty and smelly. The sheets were dirty and the pillows moldy (!). Staff tried to help with... More

The room need some revamp! There are alot of flies inside the room. Very pestering when you trying to get some sleep. And the room is very filthy. The toilet have no sink. So when you are brushing teeth, you gonna spit on the floor.

I ended up staying here because my guide convinced me this place has the best location for midnight hike to see the blue fire at Mt. Ijen. Arrived late in the evening and had dinner at the restaurant. Found the food to be acceptable. However, the room is not very clean. Did not even bother to go to the bathroom.... More

During our stay in Bromo-Surabaya Trip, This is probably the worst hotel. The room was extremely small, the toilet was not dirty but I showered as quickly as possible. The towel provided was smelly and gross (thank God I brought my own). The food was so so. But it was not all that bad. On the contrary, the stay was... More
