We were travelling on a budget, so booked this hotel instead of the Kensington one up the road because it was half the price. The hostel within the actual park was closed, so this was the cheapest option closest to the park, and we came to hike. Well, where to begin. What a dive. This place reminds me of a...

This old fashioned hotel with an 80's look and feel is in urgent need of a renovation even though it's kept clean and is located in a beautiful setting, 15 min walking from the Seorak National Park entrance. Our room was spacious and offered a wonderful view over the mountains. All the necessary amenities were provided (kettle, fridge, etc.) but...

Went here for 1 night and OMG it is cold ! It's 1 degree outside and the heater was not properly working. It's a common sense in cold area when people going to a room they want to have a warm room. I can deal with the old building, carpet or anythings thats old in this hotel but the heater...

This article is not meant for Korean hikers or general backpackers as they will be used to the below par standards I will be complaining about. Let's begin. We (2 families each with a toddler) booked 2 double bedrooms and had to move rooms twice due to the smoke odor in, supposedly, non-smoking rooms. The rooms are spacious with clean...

This hotel needs a complete overhaul. While the exterior and the lobby give a decent impression, once you go up to the room floors, it's another matter entirely. The odor on floor 3 hits you as soon as the elevator door opens. Musty or moldy?? Floor 5 has odor also. The hallway as well as the room carpets are filthy....

Location of the hotel is really great, just near the park, with excellent view. Nice well-equipped rooms with balcony. I work with my laptop a lot, so I personally liked that there are 2 tables and even a wide windowsill that you can also use as a desk. The only drawback about the rooms - they are too dark in...

Good: 1. Excellent view from balkony 2. Big window 3. Bathtub 4. Two tables, 2 chairs and 1 stool. It's nice. 5. Beds are medium comfortable (some strange bulbs everywhere), blanket is good 6. ATM in lobby. 7. There are some sitting places outside (within the bounds of hotel territory). Bad: 1. They give 1 key for the room!! We...

Stayed 1 night with my friends in Sorak Park Hotel. we had decided in this hitel as they provide free parking, and is one of the cheaper hotel to Mt Sorak. The hotel is situated a 5mins drive to the entrance of Mr Sorak, or 10-15mins by foot. The hotel exterior looks really old, and we were really curious about...

It is a 5 star hotel. The garden in front of the hotel is very well maintained and the landscape is beautiful. Looking down from the balcony of the room, the sight of the garden is admirable. Looking across the road , one sees trees, rocks, mountain range and the clear sky. Standing there in the early morning with the...

Despite the old design and 'lack of renovation', this hotel is clean and comfortable. The balcony view is great too. But the breakfast choices are so limited, you can only opt for western style or the eastern Korean style. But the food is quite decent. In overall, not bad.

“Rooms facing South and on higher floors give you a much better view. Take the bus across the street up to the Seoraksan National park, and then either take the bus back home, or take a taxi. Go grocery shopping in the city before you go and buy some food/drinks to put in your mini fridge as there are not a lot of places to shop nearby or eat. Its about a 10-15 Taxi ride from the Sokcho. The park is amazing! A must see! Would recommend 2-3 days minimum to explore the park.”
