Great place to relax and enjoy the elephants. Very nice colonial style hotel in a wonderful natural environment with excellent food and extra attentive and friendly staff. Great place to travel with children. Make sure you take the opportunity to travel to nearby Myanmar for the day. You travel back in time: Thailand as it was 30 years ago!

We received what we expected. Location is superb. Food is excellent. - Rooms are for the price one pays rather on the small side. - Only downside is to see elephants being held by chains during night time.

Our family (two children 8 / 13) just finished an amazing stay at the Anantara. The elephant experience is not to be missed. My son had done a report on elephant cruelty at school and was reticent about any tourism involving elephants, but he gave the experience a big thumbs up. Beyond elephants (which can't be underestimated), the resort had...

Our family of four just completed a three night stay at Anantara, and it was perfect from beginning to end. There is much to love about this place, but above all is the friendly and professional staff. Every person we met, without exception, was solicitous without being overbearing and accommodating in every way. The concierge reached out weeks ahead of...
