A nice comfortingly familiar choice, close to the town centre and opposite the museum of Mayan Life. The kids enjoyed the pool, gown ups enjoyed sitting outside in the little courtyard. After several months of roughing it we enjoyed the feeling of a little luxury - in hindsight maybe more a reflection on our travels than Holiday Inn ;)

We stayed here on our way back from Palenque, just for the night. This was our second stay. Our first stay was about a year and a half, or so. I was not happy about our room. But this time things were a bit different. The rooms were clean and tidy, the air worked great. We had internet service and...

it was ok. its location is great; right across the street from cultural center with good food all around it; bathrooms need some work though. it was clean, just outdated. request a room far from the ice machines; since the hallways are made of marble, the ice machines woke me up in the morning.

This was my least favourite hotel in a tour of Central America involving stays in 11 hotels. There isn't really much to complain about, it's simply that this is a typical soulless hotel, as you get with many large chains. There was nothing about the place that indicated you were in Mexico. The rooms were comfortable, but you could hear people...

Have stayed here almost exclusively. They do need to upgrade. Bathrooms especially. AC units work sometimes, as well as safes. Competition is coming so they better take note. I like the hotel overall but they really need to upgrade their bathrooms.

The aisles are all marble and resonating materials, with no carpets of course (weather is quite hot), so they are converted into tunnels of noises, echoes and sounds. Everything resonates, so it's really annoying, specially at night. Walls are paper-thin, so you can hear all that's happening not only next door but far away; you can hear it all as...

I give this a terrible rating because the price of the room is way too much for what you get. In order to make coffee I had to buy water at the restaurant . The price for 1 small (600 ML) of water is 20 Pesos which makes 2 cups of coffee. The food in the restaurant was extremely overpriced,...

We spent a night here before catching the early morning shuttle to Guatemala (via Belize). It Was clean and comfortable with a nice outdoors area, although on the whole the hotel felt rather jaded. When we walked along the main street of Chetumal that night we passed another hotel called Los Cocos which appeared to be more modern and we...

This Holiday Inn served our purposes well. I have to admit that we chose it for its convenient location across the street from the Museum of the Mayans. The museum is great. The hotel was OK - nice buffet breakfast, comfortable, if somewhat noisy room, nice pool. The fellow at the desk directed us to a restaurant a few blocks...
