Hotel's Favourite
My best friend and I booked a 4 night stay here in August and I am actually writing this as we are still here waiting at the resting room the front desk provided for us whilst waiting for our private transfer to airport. Hotel is fully booked so they could not give us a late checkout.
This hotel has fantastic service from front desk, housekeeping, the staff manning the buggies, F&B etc. They respond quickly to feedback and constantly follow up on whether they have resolved the issue to their guests satisfaction. All guests use whatsapp to communicate with the hotel front desk to ask for anything, reserve excursion or restaurants, buggies etc. Basically anything you want, you use whatsapp to comms with front desk.
Case in point:
I had booked an ocean view room with pool and it comes with a small jet pool. When I first tried it in at about 730am in the morning, I felt stinging eyes and an odd smell within a few mins. I got out and let the pumps run thinking that it's a one off.. I tried again a while later (10 to 15 mins later?) And within 2 to 3 mins of sitting down I had the same overwhelming smell of chlorine and stinging eyes that I got out.
The pool was fine so I soaked in there before going bfast.
When I was having bfast I WA the front desk giving them feedback of the jetpool and they responded immediately they they will inform the team responsible to look into it. Plus apologised for the inconvenience. Within 30 to 40 mins somebody from their team came by and found us at bfast, introduced himself and apologised again then told us what they had done to hopefully rectify the situation. They had tested ph and chlorine levels of both main and jet pool..both levels were within acceptable standards however in light of my experience; he had instructed his team to empty the jet pool and refill it with fresh water and put a lower level of chlorine. He kept on apologising and I told him that it's fine and I will try after we get back to the room. He even said that the hotel will send me to see a doctor or local hospital if I feel discomfort in my eyes or nose and they will pay for it. Wow. I told him it doesn't hurt anymore and it's not to that extent that I needed medical attention.
We tried in the later part of the afternoon and it was perfect.no more overwhelming smell.of chlorine and irritating eyes. We could soak in there for 30 mins no issues. So I wrote back to feedback that all is fine. The following day the front desk personnel TONE approached us at bfast to check on me again that I felt alright and I assured him that all is well and the pool is alright. The service is truely impeccable.
That night after dinner I was yet again surprised unexpectedly when I was presented with a little floral arrangement from the front desk (a lady came by to the room to pass the flowers) in lieu of my jet pool experience!!! I mean , this is a team who is proactive and gives guests such a positive experience/service recovery after a negative feedback which they attended to with speed. Banyan tree krabi, well done indeed.
Tone would come by the next 2 days bfast to talk to us and follow up. How fantastic is that??
In fact I will say that the entire front desk team is fantastic. Always a smile. Always a helping hand.
Now with regards to the food.
The restaurant staff at Saffron (which we went twice) and the bfast crew at Naga Kitchen recognised us and gave us the same table.
Bfast variety (vegetarian, hallal and international); there isn't allot allot but enough. The egg station has 5 to 6 varieties of ways they can cook the eggs with a daily special. There were freshly squeezed juices, ice cream, wafflez/pancake, free flow prosecco, fresh coconuts, coffees and a PASTRY / BREAD room. My friend and I don't eat allot so the bfast would usually fill us up enough to last till dinner.
Saffron thai food is awesome..their soups are chock full of ingredients and for us.. is a meal unto its own. Their tomyum soup has 5 to 7 prawns..the coconut milk chicken soup had quite a few chunks of chicken in it. The Appetiser platter was yummyyyyy. Pad thai, beef curry was awesome..the only nitpicking I will say is that the egg crab omelette was a touch too oily but it's deep fried so it was expected. Overall we love Saffron which is why we went back twice.
We tried the beach bar and Naga Kitchen once each for dinner. Both were satisfactory and yummy. Naga had allot of variety and a shout out to the staff of both Naga and Saffron for making ginger tea for us when it's not on the menu. We wanted some pure ginger tea and we asked for boiling hot water with as much ginger as they can crush and throw in and they delivered with flying colors. Thank you for this.it was not those packet powder ginger but it was pure ginger slices which we saw in the pot and that's what we want so kudos to the kitchen staff of Naga and Saffron for doing this for us.
The room. Housekeeping kept the room spotless and always refilled the 6 bottles in the room..minibar is not included in room rate so take note. It's the usual pricing for resorts so my suggestion to visitors is to request your driver to stop by any 7 11 on the way in to get some beers if you want. Hotel minibar has the smaller cans of beer.
The banyan tree amenetities has the lovely jasmine fragrance which is lovely. The beds are firm and very comfortable. The air-conditioning is seperate from the bathroom and bedroom which is great. There is also a fan but it's only 1 speed which is good enough.
The pool is not big nor small but there is this jutting out platform which eats into the swimming area so you can't really swim 2 to 3 strokes at most before u hit it. The jetpool fits only 2 pax sitting in it. The jets were strong.
Front desk also helped me arrange a Hong island private charter local longtail boat..it's thb3200 for 4 hours ..Hong national park entry fee is a seperate 300thb/adult which u pay direct to the "rangers" when you get to the island. Best part is that the boat comes up to the private beach in front of banyan tree for pickup and drop-off. So one doesn't waste time travelling to another pier or harbor. The time saved is thumbs up.
My friend used the spa and the service was also impeccable. The facial massage was so relaxing she fell asleep and the therapist who did her mani and padi got along with her like a house on fire.
There is also a free hotel shuttle to the town but we didn't utilise it. We just stayed and relaxed at the resort the entire 4 nights 5 days.
We buggied everywhere from the room.or back to room. Just call the front desk and ask for a buggy to wherever in the resort and they will turn up within 5 minutes. Some guests walk but if you have mobility issues rhe buggies are awesome. There was never a time where they never turned up or took forever. Always within 5 to 10 mins AT MOST.
Overall we love this place and hope to come back again in the future. Thank you to tone and all the crew at banyan tree krabi for giving my best friend and I such an amazing relaxing vacation.

We were blown away by Banyan tree Krabi. The lobby takes your breath away and while I have stayed at countless number of 5 star resorts around the world, Banyan tree 2 bedroom ocean view villa wow-Ed me! One of the best rooms I have stayed at hands down. Tasteful decor, gorgeous outdoor pool and patio and beautiful bathroom. The hotel checked the decor box and we were skeptical about food and service. But Banyan tree delivered on those too. Their Thai food was amazing (although the pictures on the menu did not do it justice) and service was outstanding. The staff throughout the hotel went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. For example, I usually bring my kids frozen samosas with me as they are fussy eaters. I have taken it to various hotels before and usually ask them to fry it for me. Not only did Banyan Tree fry it for me but they had thought of that extra detail to send it with their own chutney! Room service felt like eating at a restaurant that we did not feel the need to even go out to eat. The room Service staff did not only deliver the food but even thought to push my 5 year daughters chair in as she ate so she could eat her food comfortably. When we had ants in our room and expected the staff to take an hour to come to sort it out. They arrived within 5mins and sorted out the problem immediately. The friendly security guests at the beach even cleared the sand of any rocks before he lay the towel down for us. I must commend the wonderful staff at Banyan Tree.
In addition to that, Their kids pool and kids club was so enjoyable my kids cried when we had to leave to go back to Bangkok. The beach is gorgeous although the tide in the evening does bring up a lot of rocks..the morning was beautiful. I rarely say I will go back to a resort but I can safely say..I will go back to Banyan Tree Krabi.
In addition to that, Their kids pool and kids club was so enjoyable my kids cried when we had to leave to go back to Bangkok. The beach is gorgeous although the tide in the evening does bring up a lot of rocks..the morning was beautiful. I rarely say I will go back to a resort but I can safely say..I will go back to Banyan Tree Krabi.

We spent four nights at the Banyan Tree Krabi and really enjoyed the resort. The views from almost anywhere in the hotel are breathtaking (even in the rain!). From a welcome drink at check in to the wonderfully friendly and professional staff at the bar (Pong makes a terrific Cosmopolitan and serves it with an ever-present smile!!), the staff makes you feel special in all areas.
We stayed in a Premium Oceanview Pool villa and were glad we spent the extra money for the Premium location (at the top row of these rooms). As others have said, the actual bedroom itself is a bit small but the closet, bathroom and outdoor space are great. We stayed in a Premium Oceanview Pool villa and were glad we spent the extra money for the Premium location (at the top row of these rooms). As others have said, the actual bedroom itself is a bit small but the closet, bathroom and outdoor space are great. We visited Banyan Tree Krabi on Nov 13-16 of November and found the services unacceptable, despite our lowered expectation of a newly-opened facility.
The most critical point that piqued our discomfort for this hotel. Social distancing and good practice for hygiene should be of utmost concern, especially amidst this health crisis. At breakfast we notice almost none of the guests were wearing masks at the buffet lines. There were not any visible signs asking guests to wear masks or gloves, an approach even other non-luxury hotels put in place. This is simply not acceptable.
We then raised this issue to a staff on the ground, who happened to be a foreigner man, unmasked. It is shocking to hear his reply that the hotel couldn’t force guests to wear masks. “Are you from Bangkok?” was the exact question he asked in a very dismissive tone, “and I personally don’t see it necessary to wear masks” was another quote that throw us off. A conversation pursued for a bit when he insisted masks are not mandatory. One of us asked if he’s the GM of the hotel, only to be informed that he is just one of the staff. And once as he was walking past our table he would make sure to “pass the concern to the GM”.
We came to breakfast the next morning seeing nothing changed. We noticed that same ‘gentleman’ from yesterday’s conversation in a distance, only to find out from the staff nearby that he was in fact the GM of this hotel. Imagine how this made us feel. We simply couldn’t stand this kind of manner and lies from supposedly your member of leadership, let alone the ignorance he displayed for how the facility manages during this pandemic, in which Krabi just recently reported a local transmission.

We enjoyed our stay here very much. Plenty of places around the resort for spectacular sunset photos. We had an ocean view room. Banyan Tree provided different scented candles and incense sticks for every day of the week - this added a nice touch. We also booked a private long tail boat tour to Koh Hong island and got picked up at the beach right in front of the hotel. Staff were very attentive and provided beach towels when we were picked up and set up some cold drinks for us when we returned - all without us asking. We also received a lovely complimentary lunch and afternoon tea for 2 as part of our package. Both restaurants are excellent. The only minor let down during our stay was finding a very small spider behind clean towels under the wash basin.

This is probably the best resort in Krabi. As part of our honeymoon, we stayed at the Banyan Tree Krabi for 1 week. As a former travel agent and sales manager in the hospitality industry, I have seen many luxury hotels in the world, but the Banyan Tree Krabi has exceeded all my expectations.
The level of service in this resort is very high and that starts already before you even take one step in the resort. A few days before arrival, your personal Banyan Tree Host, will contact you to prepare your arrival. You can indicate all your wishes. For example: do you need an airport transfer, which type of bed linen you want, which type of pillow, which aroma, just name it. By collaborating on this, the arrival is perfectly arranged and you are completely unburdened.
After an approximately 40 minute drive from Krabi Airport with the luxury Banyan Tree airport transfer, you will arrive at the resort. The check-in was perfectly prepared by the host and very special was that General Manager Nigel Fisher personally welcomed the arriving guests and even addressed them by name. It's a small gesture but definitely a 10+ moment because you don't expect it.
The location of the resort is like it has walked out of a beautiful painting. It is a quiet location at the end of Tubkaek Beach and offers stunning views of iconic limestone cliffs of Hong Island and Koh Pak Ka among others. To open the curtains in the morning, take a dip in the private pool or jacuzzi and wake up to this beautiful view is an experience of ultimate luxury and pleasure.
About the resort itself. It is a modern resort that opened its doors in October 2020. The rooms and facilities still look like new and even though the resort is only two years old, the garden is full of beautiful plants and trees. The rooms are spacious, the bathroom is equipped with a rain shower, bath and two sinks, there is a walk-in closet, smart TV with screen mirroring function, iPod with soothing music and aroma diffuser. The best bed is always at home I say, but the king-size bed at Banyan Tree Krabi was truly outstanding.
About the service. The staff generally speaks good English and are very helpful. Everything is done to make your stay as pleasant as possible. The housekeeping prepares the room twice a day, there are club cars to move the guests around the site, the personal host can easily be reached via WhatApp, there is breakfast service in the room, the restaurant serves quality food and the kitchen can also prepare dishes on request in addition to the menu.
Have we really had nothing to complain about? Where people work, sometimes minor things can go wrong, but that is not a problem as long as it is neatly resolved and people use the experience to do even better the next day. That is something they certainly do at Banyan Tree Krabi and why you can enjoy a carefree luxury holiday here.

We picked Banyan Tree Krabi because of the stunning scenery, the modern decor and the fact that it's new and extremely clean which is perfect for a picky and neat person like me. The hotel surely didn't disappoint. The beach is directly facing the limestone karsts and they can be seen from all around the hotel. Sunset was spectacular. I felt like I could stare at that view forever.
What's more, the staff added extra magic to our stay. They were always present and ready to help. The entire crew, especially our host Khun View, made us feel at home from the start and looked after us so well.
Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a premium ocean pool suite and treated to an in-room late birthday surprise with lovely decorations and cake. I was really touched that Khun Nett went above and beyond by asking the chef to personalize the cake for me. (I love Disney princesses!) This goes to show how dedicated to creating memorable moments for guests she is.
We absolutely loved the water activities at the hotel beach. Kayaking while admiring the island views was a real highlight. Shout out to the security guard and recreation attendants for offering to take our photos without us having to ask. Not only are they experts at ensuring guests have a fun and safe experience, they are also talented photographers!
We also cannot thank Khun Fon enough for her professionalism and prompt service. We had delightful conversations with her and her attentiveness was second to none.

I would highly recommend this place to anyone and I dream of going back already.

When I book 2 night with banyan tree, my expectations were a quiet place for my wife and I to recharge.
During my stay with them everything were beyond my expectation. Great service, picturesque views, generally a very well maintain resort, our rooms were clean and the bed was top notch quality and did really felt rejuvenated.
To top it up, they serve quality breakfast!
However, I would like to give my 5 cents worth of suggestion. I book sea view room, stay in D201, most part of the view was blocked by trees and plant. Having those around isn’t bad, but I would really like more of the sea view, would suggest to trim the top of the tree away, the few tree situated right in front of the room.
The pool is nice, but sadly it is just a dipping pool, not enough space to swim as a concrete wall extended all the way into the pool, no idea what’s the purpose of it.
Also to point out, the resort is located at the corner of the beach there isn’t mart or restaurant nearby. And the F&B in the resort are priced on the higher side, but I would say is a fair value for the quality and effort they put in. Nevertheless I wished the liquor were slightly cheaper :D luckily there were happy hour deals.
Overall, I would still come back as the place felt welcoming and cleanliness are well taken care because my wife who doesn’t take bath in public hotels actually took bath in the room’s bathtub, it comes to show how clean the place is.

We stayed in October at the end of the monsoon season, naturally the weather wasn't ideal but we got to enjoy the resort at relatively low capacity in the low season.
Exceptional service and warmth felt from the lovely staff throughout our stay. Every staff member was very attentive and kind. Buggy service was available to transport guests around the resort was especially appreciated when it was raining or dark out.
The deluxe pool suite has a luxury but homely feel with serene views of the sea. Really appreciate the sustainability efforts by the hotel as they was limited/no single-use plastic around. The turn down service was the best I've ever experienced with a little gift and a thoughtful note placed on the bed every evening.
The resort is in a secluded, private location by the sea with a gorgeous view of the islands, especially at sunset. There's a shuttle service for Ao Nang beach and back once a day. We didn't use this however and we otherwise called a taxi to take us which was a 30 minute ride. We enjoyed dinner at Saffron restaurant was lovely in an intimate setting high above the resort.
Complimentary kayak and stand up paddle boarding activities were fun to enjoy in the calm beach. There are plenty of spaces to relax and hangout around the resort. Beachfront location was super beneficial for us to hop on board a private longtail boat ride to Hong Island arranged through the hotel.
Overall, such a lovely stay and highly recommended!

Banyan Tree Krabi is an impressive resort with beautiful views. The resort is about 30 minutes from the tourist area- Ao Nang Beach, so it is quiet, cleaned, and removed from the chaos.
We had a base level room which still had an ocean view and had a large, private outdoor pool. The room itself was large and functional and we especially liked the space of the walk in closet.
The pool and beach at the resort are very quiet and have amazing views of the offshore islands including Hong Island. There is a bar by the pool that had amazing service. Pong and Keti took amazing care of us and provided excellent service. Both were so friendly, helpful and poured delicious drinks.
We were recommended to take a local long tail boat to Hong Island which was arranged by the hotel concierge. The boat picked us up at the hotel beach and 20 minutes later we were exploring the islands. The price was very reasonable and we were able to customize the trip as we wanted.
The food at the hotel was very high level. Breakfast was included in our booking and had a wide variety of options including made to order options. We had two dinners at Saffron restaurant which was amazing. The manager of the restaurant went out of her way to ensure we had two great meals and a really personalized experience. While the food was good excellent, she really made the dinner experience special.

We have only been at Banyan Tree Krabi and would highly recommend it. Not only were the rooms stunning, the facilities and the staff made are stay most memorable. If you’d choose Banyan Tree, I’m sure your wife will not be disappointed.
We stayed in the Banyan for 10 nights in Feb this year, it was wonderful, from what I can see it would be much better than Sofitel as it is on its own beach area, not across the road as the Sofitel, and you have your own swimming pool,
