The resort is beautiful but the food and service were both terrible! People booked rooms but received less expensive rooms. Bride and groom brought 104 guest and were given and basic room, it wasn’t until we complained that we were put in the club I can on and on but would not recommend.

My husband and I stayed in the Elegance Club at the Majestic Elegance and we loved the calm atmosphere. It gave us access to private bars and pools which made for a much more relaxing vacation so, highly recommended. The resort is very beautiful, well taken care of and the staff is very hard working. The rooms were large, clean and comfortable A special thanks to our butler Arling who was very helpful with all of our requests. Arling went above and beyond to make sure our stay was pleasant. He made our reservations and he checked in on us daily to see if we needed anything. He was absolutely amazing and next time we return we’d request to have him as our butler. Bartenders were also friendly, fun and served various cocktails, especially Miguel, the bartender at the lobby bar is great Nightly entertainment was probably the most disappointing thing of the week. The tribute to Juan Luis Guerra was very good, though and we would have like to have more Caribbean/traditional music. Overall we had an excellent time and would come back here anytime…

We visited Majestic Elegance (Club package) for the first time from March 15 – 27th. We arrived late morning and knew we would likely have to wait for our room so we came prepared with pool clothes in our carry-on. The Bell guys swiftly took our luggage and stored it for us, until our room was available. We were greeted with a cool towel and escorted to the club lounge for check-in, where we were given a refreshing cocktail while we waited to be checked in and for our butler to show us around. Our Butler Arling was just coming off his days off and was not yet available, so we were introduced to Raymond, who was not our butler, but treated us as though he was. Raymond was kind enough to show us around the resort, pointing out the restaurants and the facilities. He answered all questions that we had with patience and a smile. Raymond then brought us back to the club lounge and showed us where we were able to change and enjoy the resort until our room was ready. We had lunch and found a chair by the pool to enjoy the afternoon. Around 3:00 we went to the main Lobby to meet our Butler Arling. Arling is just a sweet guy. He checked in on us every day, sometimes twice. He helped us with our restaurant reservations and spa reservations. When we felt that the A/C wasn’t working quite right, he had someone into it fixed by the time we went back to the room. He surprised me with a fully decorated room, a bubble bath, and champagne for my birthday. He also managed to get us a late checkout on the last day, which was great since our flight was not until midnight. Arling even checked in on us, on his day off to see that we got home safe. Arling is just a DARLING. Our room was next to the Ella building, overlooking the quiet pool, it was the perfect location. The room was dated, but spacious, and clean. The bed and pillows were outstanding compared to other Caribbean resorts I have been to. No face clothes, but I had heard that would be the case and brought my own, though I am sure Arling would have found us some had we asked. The drawers in the nightstand and dresser were starting to fall apart and were difficult to open and close. I understand that the resort is closing for a few months in the fall to renovate the rooms, so they are aware and will work on it. There was a coffee maker, & a mini fridge, though it didn’t get terribly cold had bottled water, beer, coke, sprite, Orange Pop & chocolate. There were salty snacks as well. The club lounges were great to get coffee & light breakfast in the morning, cold drinks, and snacks in the afternoon or a glass of wine & snacks at night, we played card here after dinner when we wanted a quiet evening. The resort landscaping & pools are kept immaculate by the ground’s keepers & pool guys. The beach is lovely (unfortunately there were a few days that the Sargassum washed ashore but was cleaned up by the next morning), we didn’t spend much time sitting on the beach, if you wanted a chair in the shade you needed to get up at 6:00am to claim one. I would say that the food was average to slightly above average for an all-inclusive. There is plenty of variety, so you won’t go hungry. The alcohol was above average, they had top-shelf North American liquor not just Local Rum. All the restaurants were fine, I think some of the descriptions in the ala carts are not exactly accurate, but not completely off. The salmon at both the steak house and Italian were outstanding, The Steak House was good ( I am not sure that there was much difference between the cuts though). At the Italian the Steak was very good, the pasta was good, maybe lacking garlic. Don’t order the Arrabbiata, I love spicy food, but this is just tomato sauce loaded with Tabasco Sauce, enough Tabasco that I couldn’t take a second bite and had to send it back. The lobster Risotto was disappointing, crunchy from both underdone rice and lobster shells. The Japanese was good (and plentiful), the fried ice cream was my favorite dessert. The French was also decent I had the chicken & my partner had the Veggie Wrap, which was veggies wrapped in veggies, she said it was tasty. Having the Italian for an ala cart Breakfast was great. Eggs all ways, bacon, pancakes, french toast, fresh fruit and pastries, oatmeal, and MIMOSAS. We didn’t have much luck with the service at sea & see restaurant, the few times we went either for the buffet or dinner, I just found that the staff were not as engaged as the rest of the resort, not rude, just not engaged. The food was fine, the chicken and Fajitas were tasty at dinner, the breakfast and lunch buffets are smaller than the main buffet, but the food was good, watch out when they are grilling your burgers, we were served raw still cold in the center meat, I made sure to ask them to cook mine longer the next time I tried them, they were happy to throw it back on the grill until it was a medium. The staff is what makes this resort, always smiling, always friendly from the groundskeepers climbing trees to trim, Housekeeping, the guys handing out towels & the restaurant staff, all exceptional. You may have the same waiter for the breakfast buffet at the steak house at night. They work long hard days but they always have a smile and make you feel like you are special. Even to the miserable people who don't deserve it. A few of our favorites – Maria the Buffet Hostess, and Darianna, who despite being very pregnant was happy all the time. Yessica who served us at the buffet & Italian, Angelo at the buffet, Rueben & Stephanie at the steak house, and VICTOR who after the first day at the buffet, greeted us with hugs and laughter at the Japanese and French, loved this guy. Ronni and Beto were lovely at the Italian, and Janett who was the bright sport at the Sea & see, Familia! We sat in "our" Bali Bed in the middle pool on the adult's side the whole 12 days we were there and Francesca poured drinks at the beach bar, My Beautiful singing waitress Juditt & waitress Jenny kept the drinks and vibes flowing all day. Jorge, Frantzeau, and Carlos made sure we had clean dry towels, & high fives, with friendly conversations every day. Lastly, Elvis the Bellman..great guy, treat him nice. All in all, If you are looking for a nice relaxing vacation in a friendly environment, I would recommend, we will go back. …

Took trip to Majestic for R&R. Resort was well kept . Nice ambiance. Butler service was on point. Everything I needed was delivered timely and the butler was extremely responsive. First time to DR so I did not know what to expect with the food. Meals were ok overall. However, the waterfront restaurant was great. I ate there for the remainder of the trip once I tried all the other restaurants.

This resort is absolutely stunning! The property, rooms and restaurants were all very clean and well kept. The standout for us was our amazing butler, Olbis. He went above and beyond for us from the moment we met him, especially at the end of our stay, when our flights were delayed and very uncertain. He helped us and even other couples who were on our flight but weren’t under his care. Above and beyond doesn’t even describe him, to be honest. He was just the best!!! He took our stay from great to amazing. ❤️ My only issue was in the Club showers (the ones where if you have to check out of your room early, you can still use the facilities and clean up before your flight). The sensor light in the room turns off after only 2 minutes! I had just gotten in the shower and it went off. It was pitch black in there. I tried to get out of the shower to get my phone to turn on my flashlight, but slipped and fell on the hard tile and step. I am still quite banged up, cut and bruised from that, so please, fix the light in there!!!!…

We (my Wife and I and two other couples)recently just got back from our week long stay at the Majestic Elegance. We have now stayed at all 3 properties. Our check-in process was somewhat lengthy. We were not told to grab a snack and a drink, we just did it because we already knew what to do. It was strange to us that they needed our passports for checking in and took pictures of them with their person cellphones, assuring us the photos will be destroyed. We were each taken to our rooms. At booking we mentioned we were repeat guests 2x, and requested a pool view room. We ended up on the first floor facing the alley which the workers used early in the morning until dark. We explained you our butler, MELVIN, that we were disappointed in the room especially because we were repeat guests. Because of the constant foot traffic we would have to keep our curtains drawn and the outside patio grass was overgrown and small. MELVIN understood and said he would see what he could do but mentioned them to be at full capacity. He said it would for sure not be they day to make the switch. He was able to move us to the third floor pool view room later the next afternoon. MELVIN was extremely easy to contact through the WhatsApp and responded promptly to our future requests/reservations. He checked in with us daily. The food was ok. Nothing but the Hibachi stood out to us. Not saying it was bad, but nothing “outstanding”. Most of the bartenders seemed overworked and not thrilled to be there. Almost as if we were bothering them to make us a drink. Most did not have a signature drink. The Club swim up bar was excellent, Ishmail, did a great job mixing cocktails and was entertaining ! William was fantastic!Funny, personable and a delight to talk to. Whenever we would see him, he made a point to come over and chat with! Resort was beautiful. Henry our Butler was great with booking our dinners and ordered room service for us each day at the swim up bar pool. He checked in on us daily to see if we needed anything. Walliam was an amazing young kid. He was so kind to everyone on our group (41 of us). Very helpful at the swim up bar with Ismael each day. Only downfall of trip was the food. Not very good anywhere we ate. At least half of our group was sick at one point from the food. Service at French and Seafood restaurants were terrible. Over two hours to get our food. We did not come for the food so we weren’t to disappointed and we didn’t have to worry about gaining any weight since we barley ate anything.

We went as three couples and stayed at the elegance club! We had a great time. Check in was slow but check out was quick. The wet bar was one of our favorite spots. Resort is beautiful! Julio our butler went above and beyond for my group and my birthday!
