We had a fantastic stay. we booked a premium upgrade in the UK and it was worth it just for little things like a butler if you couldn't book the restaurants or if it was a special occasion while you was away they would help sort out the celebrations and dress the room with balloons and a banner on the door . We never struggled for a sun bed in the shade we spent most of our time under a palm tree on the beach the pools were realy empty the food was good we found that you could book the restaurants very easily on the app we tried them all and enjoyed them all it seemed like you could only book up to 5 days in advance so it just meant every morning booking a restaurant for in 5 days which we managed on the app with no troubles once you've booked it shows no availability until the next morning we got the gist of it and eat realy well the entertainment staff work realy hard and are realy friendly and the grounds are kept beautifully. The staff in the dive centre near the beach are great we went out on a speed boat and drived and swam with dolphins at a fantastic price you can also use the paddle boards and the kayaks for free and you can try diving for free in the pool didn't have any need to see the tui rep but she was at the hotel nearly every day what I liked about this hotel was there was no sunbed stampede what ever time of the day you went to relax on a bed you could always get a bed in the shade or in the full sun there where bars near every pool and on the beach our room was lovely and our air conditioning went down to 15.5 which was fantastic our maid looked after us so well she deserved a medal all in all beautiful grounds fantastic rooms and very welcoming staff it was my birthday while we were there the butker dressed the room for me and left a beautiful fruit platter and a bottle of champagne and the day before we came home the maid left us a realy nice ploughman's platter the fridge was stocked daily was perfect

Magnificent week spent in this hotel! Pleasant staff and very beautiful environment.
Perfect location on the Bavaro coast, less than an hour from Punta Cana airport. The setting is heavenly: very pretty tropical garden with lots of greenery, beautiful beach with direct access, cleaned and supervised. There is also a small pontoon to walk around and watch the waves.
The Premium Tropical View rooms are very spacious and have everything you need: air conditioning, fan, safe, television, telephone... The showers are gigantic, as is the storage space, impossible to run out of space. Daily cleaning is perfectly carried out in every corner of the room.
Top food! Varied buffets and even some fresh produce. I highly recommend the different à la carte restaurants and more particularly the Yakimeshi which offers a great, very friendly showcooking. The possibility of unlimited room service is a real plus, especially in the morning if you want to enjoy a quiet breakfast on the balcony.
Regarding drinks, there are bars available throughout the complex with international cocktails on request. I recommend the Premium bar in building 23, quieter with a small lounge area. There are also two small shops: the first offers souvenirs, cigarettes, beach and diving accessories while the second offers food and drinks, practical if you plan to leave the hotel.
For the excursions, I booked with Joubert from Mondial Tourisme, directly from the hotel. A French-speaking representative, he offers outings at reasonable prices, everything is well explained and he is always available to ask questions or in the event of a problem. I absolutely recommend Saona Island and visiting Santo Domingo!
Good value for money in Punta Cana, nice Premium service. I recommend it for a privileged and totally relaxing stay!

Well let’s start here, the Beach was great and the property and room were nice. The specialty restaurants were good to decent. But that’s not what it takes to make a great vacation.
Sure you need those things on a beach vacation but it’s not enough.
From the beginning it was one customer service representative disappointment after another.
We booked the most expensive ocean front premium room. Only to find that we had a garden view with a sliver of water through two buildings. Their answer was to move us half way through our trip. Our friend’s room was supposed to be the same premium room but when we arrived they got a small ocean front room not the two bedrooms suite they booked like us. The hotel didn’t mention that they weren’t giving them the room they booked and when asked about it they said well it is an ocean front room so it’s the same. After several days of discussions with multiple managers they got 217 dollars given back. By the way they couldn’t move them because they didn’t have it available.
Our bathrooms smelled like a sewer.
The buffets both the main and premium were often Uneatable. Breakfast was horrible and often they started pulling the food up to 45 minutes before scheduled closings.
During the visit we ordered room service four time it only arrived as ordered once.
Room was cleaned daily but inconsistent as to supplies, such as towels, water ect.
Bar service was good.
There is no shade on the main side and lots of shade on the premium side of the beach and pools.
Be careful on the walkways because the staff will literally run you down either walking or while they are driving golf carts. They expected you to move out of their way with few exceptions.
This resort caters to a Hispanic customer. So the food and services were geared towards them. The service appeared to be as well. Normally I love that when traveling but like I said the buffet was nearly uneatable.
Overall the service was disappointing including the one time we asked to go out to a restaurant for a birthday. We were unable to get the bellmen to understand where we wanted to go and they were unable to get us a taxi to get there. We will not be going back.
Do not expect to get help from the Premium Management team they were useless through out our stay.

Although we booked Premium room and service, we got an old and small room upon arrival. After 2 nights in that room we found a cockroach in the bathroom and the toilet started to smell with sewage. However, we appreciate that despite the New Years Eve, they changed our room and we finally got to the Premium premises. Choosing premium is a scam - no benefits, everyone has access everywhere, the helper that is assigned to you is not helpful at all - didn’t do anything during our stay, no help to book restaurants and even if full availability has been granted to us by him, more than once we have been lied about prosecco delivery in the room the first of the year, as the waiters were celebrating (although we saw multiple on the same floor same day), other justifications were provided the next days and we never got the prosecco in the room! The restaurants are BS - impossible to book during whole 1 week of our stay. Although they are 70% empty all the time they don’t let you in because your room number is not in their list. We do understand it was holiday period however no flexibility from their side. The food wasn’t great, there’s plenty of food, just very average. The staff in the main buffet are doing a great job, you could see they worked really hard. The beach was mostly clean from seaweeds, beach towels were one per person per day as you couldn’t get one after 11am. Was the first time in DR, definitely a wonderful place. However wouldn’t choose the same hotel again. Let’s be clear, this is too far from being a 5 star hotel. Long story short, we went for the fantastic sea, the warm weather and the sunny days, but for what we paid we were expecting to receive a better treatment. Better to spend 500/700 eur more and get a room in one of the many famous resorts in the area. There is plenty of room for improvement.

So glad that we did the Premium part of this resort. Had our own concierge named Joselin. He was amazing! He made our vacation so much more relaxing and took any extra stress away. There were minimal lineups at the Premium bars, the chairs were better on the Premium beach and they even had a few tables scattered around (could use more tables though). I like the smaller resorts as everything is within a 7 min walk, once I got my bearings. The food was never in shortage and so many different options at the main buffet! The a la carte restaurants are amazing and the staff at each one were fabulous. Our fridge was always stocked with the items we asked for, and always extra water. There are events every night and posters around the resort letting you know where and when. Joselin even suggested must go to shows! I suggest you try the silent disco in the lobby when you go.

If you value service and attention when choosing a hotel, then don't book the Impressive Premium Punta Cana.
The hotel has a good structure (it is very safe, has large rooms, reasonable restaurants and a good beach/pool structure). However, the service is terrible in several ways (especially reception, cleaning and some bar staff) and this is unacceptable considering the high cost (we stayed in an Ocean Front room).
The staff are unfriendly and inefficient and are treated differently depending on whether you tip or not. I personally witnessed a situation where the bar employee served different drinks to me (national liquor) and to another guest (imported liquor), because the other guest had a USD 1.00 bill in her hand, something I didn't have at the time of ordering. the drink, and because we are in the PREMIUM area, one of the differences in our package were the imported drinks.
The service in the restaurants is very bad and we had several negative experiences during the 6 days of our stay: staff chewing and talking about how good they were while serving guests, breakfast starting at 7:00am but at 7:20am the buffet was not yet fully station, cold and/or reheated food at the a la carte buffets.
The cleaning service is very poor (we had days where the room was not cleaned and only came after we had complained to reception and the service was carried out around 7:00 pm) and on the last day there was a cockroach in our room. Our room had a bathtub, we only used it once during the 6 days because after use the maids did not clean it once.

The hotel makes a great impression on arrival and is very nicely laid out. It's a bit of a convoluted maze of paths through palm trees which I like but it does mean you get lost quite easily. There are 4 pools, at least one of which has a bar and there's lots of entertainment put on regularly. The clients are a mix of all sorts from families with small kids to older couples.
The complex is a blend of the 'plain' Impressive hotel and Impressive Premium which is what we booked. The difference between the two is not very obvious. The premium has options for rooms on the ocean-front and a separate queue for the buffet area. There is supposed to be a butler service per room but we didn't use ours very much mostly because it wasn't obvious what his roles was and how we could contact him. There are 2 pools dedicated to premium guests and there ere a lot of families with little kids taking advantage of these. All the pools are big enough to not feel overcrowded and the central pool is pretty large with a bar on one side of it.
The buffet food was ok and no more. There was not a lot of variety but all the usual fare was present as well as burgers, pizza, pasta, rice, curries, fish, beef and so on. Something for everyone but by comparison we were in a 4 star in Mauritius a few years ago and the quality and daily variety of the food there was just better.
The one thing that did upset me, and eventually led to me being sick in bed for a whole day due to heat exposure, was that the air conditioning in our room just couldn't do the job. The thermostat couldn't be set below 21 degrees and even set to its lowest just blew slightly fresh-ish air. Certainly not cold and the room temperature never fell below 28 celcius. I think the coolant must have ran out. We asked multiple times for this to be looked at and eventually gave up after many promised of "yes we'll take care of it". Same for the TV which didn't receive anything through the aerial nor could connect to the network for Netflix/Amazon etc.
There's free WiFi available and weirdly the connection in the rooms is the best compared to outside. I think there's a capacity problem because during the day where there's lot sof people on the beach it really struggles to connect.
Overall, disappointed with the hotel. Not 5 stars and just about good enough for 4 given the lovely grounds and the sea/beach.

This hotel has lost a lot of points in my review since the first time we were there in 2019. This was our 2nd time and will be our last. The reception at the premium lobby needs a little work because the waitresses at the restaurant are more welcoming and sympathetic than those behind the counter, especially the Premium Lobby.
Butler Service?? We saw him the first day when we arrived and the last day when we were leaving as we needed our airport departure time information from the lobby to the airport since we did not see any desk of Air Canada representative or other company on site during our stay!! To reserve your restaurants, we did it ourselves via the internet on the restaurant's website because our Butler had not done so after asking him several times. Extra charge for Impressive Premium which gives you access to the swimming pools which are reserved for Premium only if you do not want to go to the large swimming pool which is for everyone including families with children. Private beach as well. The food at the buffet is not very hot, so it is not for those who like to eat there food hot as this is not always the case. The food remains to be desired for a 4.5 star. The beach is beautiful, we never ran out of chairs or palapas no matter what time we went. No need to get up early to reserve chairs. The sea is beautiful and clear in the morning, without any sea weeds and in the afternoon the ocean is not as clear but still with little sea weeds. So in my opinion this hotel does not deserve a rating of 4.5. The food remains to be desired but for the cleanliness of the resort and room I have nothing to say and the outdoor toilets always clean. We are going to consider going to another resort this winter. ☹
Wifi doesn't always work and disconnects regularly even when you are in your room.
another point that I forgot to say is that most of the menu restaurants are not air-conditioned places!!

If it is a premium junior suite then yes you will have the premium package which in our opinion is worth it. We went May last year and loved it and returning in May this year
