When I arrived to Punta Cana, the service that they gave me was great. All the pools that I have to are super clean. The hotels here are neat and are comfortable. The main pool has a lot of entertainment. The restaurants are super good. Definitely recommend them. The activities here are super entertaining. (The animation group of the palace). You never get bored of them. I love this place and would definitely come again! Overall , the service is great. Every staff gives you the attention you need.
When you enter the hotel very good service in the reception and fast as well. The room is very specios and nice with a butifull view to the beach. theres about 13 restaraunts and buffets the food is really good and the best restaurant is el dorado i really recomend it. the piña coladas and all the drinks in general are really good. the beach was buerifull and the pools are clean and filled with activitys. By the pools they have there animation group palace amd especially carolina and the rest do activitys such as ping pong bingo they also show you there typical dishes. All the workers are really enthusiastic and make you feel at home. The hotel is very pretty and i really recomend it.
At first our room was unacceptable. Cold refrigerator, replaced it and lost my husband's medicine. Took too long to find. However, they did make things right. Their Operations Manager and Sales Manager were great. We did end up buying a vacation plan.
My family booked rooms at the neighboring TRS property. But TRS does not allow children, so we ended up at Grand Palladium with our 3 and 4 year olds. Stayed for 8 days. Positives: - Our kids liked the kids club. They spent a couple of hours there most mornings. It is not the kind of place where you leave your kids all day - they don't serve food and, for the most part, they don't spend much time outside, but they do fun craft projects and they give the kids candy, so my kids liked it. They really liked Ms. Carmen! - The Japanese restaurant was the one meal we all enjoyed. It was fun and the food was good. - Our cleaning lady was always there when we needed her and very helpful. the bad: - We had so many issues with our room. The AC unit broke and caused a major leak that had to be totally taken apart and repaired; the shower sprayed everywhere so we had to put towels down every time we used it; The shower set-up was not great to shower/bath young kids; AC never fully worked so the loft space was very hot; Room had urine in the toilet upon arrival; clothes rack was broken; door key battery died, it took 3 trips to the front desk to get the issue diagnosed, front desk kept making up new keys and finally, after 3 walks to the lobby, they realized the battery was dead on the unit, repair took about an hour. - Food - getting reservations was a pain. You had to go to the front desk and most restaurants were booked up the entire trip. Kept having to go back to the front desk to see if anything opened up. Food quality was awful. For some reason, buffets never had enough serving spoons - so lots of cross contamination of dishes (so if you're a vegetarian, this won't work); Service at buffets was terrible - some days the buffet would be out of water, other days, they were out of servingware/napkins. I felt like I spent a lot of time trying to get basic things for our family like forks and water. Overall, food is garbage everywhere. - Pools - loud and busy. Think multiple parties who each have their own speakers are are blasting music over one another. Everything was dirty - pools, chair, restaurants. It was gross. Beach - It's fine. Lots of kelp, but that's not their fault. BUT, my child was playing in the sand by a pool chair and I notice a used condom right next to her. GROSS. They clearly don't clean the beach. I do NOT recommend this resort. …
Beautiful beach. You're able to soak up local flavor on foot. Very clean and safe environment. If you like a bunch of excursions they have them. If you're traveling without children they have all adult areas.
