What's good? The view and location are really fantastic. You are right next to all the big hotels but with much less guests. The rooms were very large, almost entire bungalows. What's bad? The room is cleaned every other day. While that's okay and written in the rules it's not okay to have to go after housekeeping every other day to make sure they do their job. Also the boat guys are a real pain. There's a large group of boat trip sellers that seats right in front of the hotel, in front of the sea, destroying the beautiful view. They are constantly going after people trying to sell their trips. Yelling is constant. The hotel even allows them to come to your beach chair, which should be totally forbidden. Also the boats that pass nearby with the loud music absolutely destroy the peaceful vibe. They could go enjoy themselves to some place far from the shore! Another point that was sad for me, they charge you a deposit of $40 on the first day. Which seems to be against booking.com rules. Finally, on the last day, we asked for late check-out but they still charged us $40 even though I switched from a room that was more expensive (Beachfront Villa Junior Suit) to one in the back which should by itself be enough to cover at least another night at the hotel.

We (family of 4, two adults and 2 teen kids) booked a two night stay at this place, and it definitely was a very big mistake! The room was in dire need of repairs. There were nails sticking out the side of the living room sofa beds (my daughter cut herself with one), stains on curtains and inside the drawers, handles missing from the closet doors with just the screws left over. The bottom of the fridge door was completely rusty. The toilet paper in the bathroom was hanging from a rope, and as cherry on the top, there was even a cockroach near the sink. Moreover, the sofa beds were with no bedding for the kids. There were only two shower towels in the room, and only one mini bottle of shower gel and shampoo. For 4 people. We asked for more towels, and were never delivered. The place is in a nice position, absolutely, but all the rest is a total disgrace

We stayed at La Flor del Caribe villas and where right on the beach. Walking up and down Bavaro beach, I did not see a better stretch of beach than in front of our villas! And we had so much space reserved for us because there was no huge resort full of tourists. The condo in the villa had everything we needed. The villas have different owners and the quality of the interior decorations may differ but they are all so close to this beautiful beach that it doesn't really matter - you wouldn't want to stay inside anyways. The villas seem to all be managed by a local company that can give you a discount if you pay cash. The only downside I can think of is the nearby beach bar called Soles, which had a DJ until 2am during the weekend. I'd have gladly paid said DJ to shut it. This is not really a party area, if you are looking for clubs, a place closer to Coco Bongo would be better.

Pros Very accessible to the beach, restaurants/bars. Workers were pleasant. Cons To begin, our check-in took 40+ minutes. When arriving just about anywhere, you would want a smooth and prompt check in. Upon arrival, apart from the initial deposit, you are required to pay a $18 (US) fee for electricity. When we got to our room, we noticed there were only 2 bath towels, one bath floor-mat and one hand towel. We were staying a full week/7 days and figured we would receive more towels after a room refresh or cleaning (housekeeping). However, three days later we still had not had our room cleaned (bed made or towels refreshed) so we went to the front desk to ask for more bath towels only to be informed that we would have to pay a $25 deposit to receive only 2 more towels. The staff never once cleaned our room throughout our entire 7 day stay here. Upon making our own bed one night, we found a pair of men's sweats in between our mattress and bed frame. This was pretty alarming for us, considering cleanliness is easily one of the most important parts of any stay. We weren't expecting the Four Seasons, however we hoped that we would at least have a clean bed to sleep in. The plumbing smelt foul almost our entire stay here. You are required to replace toilet paper after the first roll, as well as shampoo, soap, etc. This is much more an apartment than it is a hotel. There was no hair dryer or towel racks on walls to hang towels to dry. Rooms DEFINITELY could be updated. Prepare for cold (lukewarm at best) showers! There was no hot water in the shower. After reading many reviews it seems that "Los Corales Beach Village" comments that the reviews must be written for the incorrect location, but we are 100% positive this is the correct location. All in all, spend a little more money and stay somewhere a whole lot nicer.

Though in a lovely setting right on the beach, the theme of our stay here was No. Whether it's another tiny bottle of hand soap for the bathroom (no) or a room clean sooner than every three full days (which means the day you arrive does not count) the answer is No (though they're friendly about it.) No hot water in the shower of our 2BR, no microwave in the very minimal kitchenette, no door on the mini freezer (size of a box of crackers) inside the mini-fridge (so the ice you wanted for your drink--that's a no.) No working lights in the main room (tho they did fix this after we asked three times.) No phone to call 'reception,' you have to go wait on a line of people complaining in a variety of languages to get your personal No. No late checkout (we were happy to pay for an extra hour but they were banging at the door precisely at 11am) Also no refund for the first night that we missed due to a flight cancellation. I wasn't thinking that would happen...but it would have been nice. That said, if you choose to go despite the No, read on: The pool was very pretty and clean. The beach is beautiful and clean. The people who work here are pleasant (although not helpful.) Bring your own dish soap and a sponge, paper towels and paper plates/cups. If you use the stove know you have to ask them for matches in order for it to work. Bring ear plugs (or Ambien) because there is very loud music starting at 9pm next door. Go to Toc and Soles for lunch on the beach (takes forever but most places do and they are both lovely.) Don't go to Zoho Beach Club to eat (it's really pretty. Don't be fooled, the food and service are terrible.) Go to Citrus for dinner, Pranama for not bad Indian, Unagui for great service and sushi. Though I will skip these 'villas' for future trips, a return to Punta Cana and the DR is a Yes

The place was utilitarian … everything we needed and no added frills. Extremely friendly & helpful staff (David). Our one bedroom unit had an air conditioner and ceiling fan, lots of storage space, a mini fridge and a TV. The pool was nicely maintained and they have an on-site spa (massage). There’s a place on the grounds for breakfast but we never ate there. The walk from our unit to the beautiful beach was less than a minute. On the beach there are lots of lounge chairs and thatch umbrellas for shade. The price was perfect and it was a nice change of pace from the all-inclusive resort we’d stayed in earlier that week. My husband said he’d rather have stayed here the whole time rather than the resort! We would recommend this place.

This was an amazing find but it won't be for everyone. We stayed here for five days and it was perfect for us. We got one of the haciendas with a great view of the beach. There are other rooms close by that are just meh and have no view. If you can swing it, get a beach view room. Ours had a kitchen as well. Michael worked reception the whole time and was amazing. He helped us with anything we needed. The beach is beautiful and only for guests. You won't get harassed by vendors. The spay is rustic but cute and massages are available. The pool is nice although the grounds are a little rustic too. Overall it was perfect for us The less good... This is not like the all inclusive places. You have to ask for things. We didn't mind. No one cleaned the room but we didn't ask. We took out our trash.. No big deal. If you want full pampering, you won't get that here. But for the price, location, and view, it's pretty awesome. There are many restaurants walking distance from the property. They can help you with excursions too or you go to the beach and they are all there.

Los Corales Beach Village is absolutely gorgeous, the location can't be beat for an escape from everything North American. I loved it! You rent these little haciendas on the beach, I was lucky enough to get one directly on the beach #22, I could see the beach from every window including my bedroom, which had french doors, incredibly intimate and romantic little Spanish style apartment homes. If you want to escape your life, and simply rest, go to a well equipped spa, have a little fun, I would definitely advise this place. You don't have a fight for a beach lounger like at some all inclusive and sometimes have the beach to yourself. The spa is 5 minutes walk and an amazing little breakfast nook called Joy is delightful to saunter over to in the morning. Of course you can participate in any of the fun excursions Puna Cana also offers, the party boats are unbelievable. I had great service from Uradi who was at reception when I arrived, she always has a radiant smile and is very accommodating and helpful, the other service I received at the hotel wasn't so great including from one of the owner's. If you go to this resort you should brace yourself for the fact that transfers to and from the airport aren't included, and you won't get much of a welcome, my welcome was a locked door. This is like checking into a motel, not an all inclusive, I would suggest taking small bills because the area is on the fringe of where the local Dominicans live and when you eat out they don't have change if you are carrying large bills, the hotel reception didn't seem to have the ability the break down US dollars either. There is a lot lacking for services in fact, you only get your room cleaned and towel changes every 4 days. Uradi was helpful also in this area she gave me service earlier when I asked. If you are not up to throngs of people and are looking for solo time away from humanity this is the perfect spot. Just be prepared for the limited services offered, and also have small US bills to buy your meals and don't expect much from the reception, you're on your own was the vibe. There was an interesting bar up the beach Flamingo, who makes a great Pina Coloda and a tiny 2 seater restaurant literally on the beach also that was adorable for breakfast and lunch. If you desire to simply chill out and escape the stress of work life and pressures this is ideal. The spa also was a highlight you can get a massage in the zen garden area, on the beach or in the spa, as well as at midnight, the spa is fully equipped with multiple services and great staff, lovely people who actually care. And last but definitely not least is the incredible awe inspiring view of the ocean, sunrise and sunset.

The hotel is close to the beach, Alberto at the front desk was very helpful and accommodating with everything. They upgraded us to a junior suite which was very nice!!! However, you don't get any water like it says online, you also don't get any more toilet paper or shampoo except what is in the room when you check in, there was no cleaning of the rooms the whole time there and we never got new towels until the night before leaving. The restaurant/bar at the hotel was never open either so don't expect to be able have a cocktail or meals there.

Sorry for the inconvenience. We make quick cleaning every 3 days and deep cleaning with change towels and linen each week. Now we have a beach bar and a pool bar running. At walking distance there is a pizzeria and another small restaurant. You can also have delivery on the beach. Best.

It’s not the pool, the staff (not any room service in 10 days), the rooms or anything else but the location and price that warrants a 4 star review. The rooms were nice and the view absolutely amazing. I had a standard suite with ocean view (2nd floor). Well worth it considering it was only $10 night more than Tropicana Suites (what a joke). Aside from that, the nearby store, pizza place and being steps from the beach was awesome. The best part...you’re away from all the hounding vendors on the streets.

Sorry, but we don't have any Tropicana suite. We offer light cleaning every 3 days and deep each week. You've posted in the wrong place. There is another organization where you were probably hosted. Please remove. best.
