Detailed Reviews
The family which owns the property are very friendly, and they’ve done a good job with this place. The garden is lovely, with some nice gazebos to sit in close to the edge of the lake.
Our room was huge, with a huge bathroom and a huge balcony. We definitely had much more space than we needed!
We opted to have our meals here rather than to go out - it made sense at breakfast, and it rained very heavily one of the evenings. Everything we had was excellent, and portion sizes were always more than adequate.
Overall very happy with our two night stay, although it felt a little on the expensive side for what is - essentially, a simple guest house: breakfast was extra, no shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom (just a small bar of soap), no tea/coffee in the room (just a kettle)…..
Tuktuk is a great little village and the perfect base for exploring the lake and the island. It’s a pity that one of the bars nearby has decided to spoil the atmosphere by having really loud live music six nights a week. You don’t have to look to hard to find the reviews online about it. This isn’t Juma’s fault in any way, but it was impossible to sleep until they closed.

+1
We truly had an amazing time at Juma cottage. The owners are a young couple who will go out of their way to make their guests feel welcome and to facilitate them in their needs. The room are very clean and spacious. There is a biiiig bathroom and hot water. Every room has a balcony or a porch with a small table and seats. So you can sit in front of your room and enjoy the view of the beautiful toba lake (the cottage is adjacent to the lake). They also have a very large and beautiful garden with lots of flowers and plants.
And then the food... DELICIOUS! The owner is a experienced hospitality professional and you can taste and see that in everything. We had grilled fish with a lot a side dishes that comes with the main meal and the other day we had fresh water lobster. Just delicious! Nothing less!
Juma cottage, thank you so much for the warm welcome and your hospitality 🙏🏼

We had a lovely stay at Juma cottage with my family. The staff is very welcoming and kind. The rooms are very big and clean. There is a nice and well maintained garden. You can take a dive into the toba lake because they are situated on the toba lake. They alsof have a big jetty with relaxing chairs next tot the lake. Make sure tot dine in their garden restaurant. The food is excellent!

The staff here is really terrible, I called to book a room, they answered for a long time, I called to ask if the bed had a spring bed or not, but they answered by shouting "how do you know if it's a spring bed or not, it's already covered with sheets" Then I said because I don't know that's why I asked. Then my phone immediately turned off. It's really scary for employees like this, how can they stay overnight if they just want to book a room and they'll be scolded!!

A stay with lakeside view and that's about all. There are plenty of cottages along this stretch called Tuk Tuk Siadong. Most of the properties have lake view and some with a swimming pool.
The accommodation is spartan and the saving grace is the big room and the view of the water.
The staff are a receptionist and a room boy and they double up in providing the other services.
Our stay was disturbed by some construction works across the road.
