Not only is this a beautiful hotel, but it is located right next to the entrance to Petra. That helps because it's a long walk to the Siq if you don't like horseback riding. It has a great "Cave Bar" where you can sit outside and enjoy a drink. The rooms are a decent size, very clean and quite. Food... More

The idea of taking a whole village and turn it into a hotel is lovely. Rooms were scattered around with the pool at the bottom of the hill and restaurants and shops on top. Each room was decorated with a different ambiance that added to the flavor of the hotel. Truly amazing

it is not a starred hotel ! just a simple village accommodation. they could develop it as a good desert resort, but far from it at the moment. it is just a basic accommodation, rooms not up to the mark, if you like to experience residing in a village near the mountains then this is it, don't expect anything more,... We did not stay in any hotels in Jordan except this one (excavated a site in Madaba). This perhaps has coloured my view of the hotel, but I thought the beds were comfy, the rooms amazingly spacious and with a great view. I personally do not remember eating at the restaurant and probably most of the trip taking in the... More

I would give this a negative star if I could. It is not the closest hotel to Petra. The facility is not like the online photos - maybe it was years and years ago, but not now. Our room was filthy dirty - I keep my socks on the whole time - even in the dirty bathtub/shower. It appeared as... More

I wouldn't go back unless I had no other accomodations. Relatively close to Petra was the good feature. Our group of 5 was not pleased. With the 3 rooms between us they all needed serious attention. They felt rather like a hostel and a rustic one at that. The food was okay, nothing special. There are a lot of rooms... More

Stayed for two nights last week whilst visiting Petra on a McCabe's pilgrimage to the Holy Land. The hotel is a restored 'village' which, I think, dates back to the 1990s if not before. Our first impressions were that it is principally a timeshare establishment. We had a well sized 'room' on the end of a block about twenty yards... More

We called for the hotel shuttle bus and waited an hour for the bus to arrive at Petra. The bus was run-down and seemed to be falling apart (the side door wouldn't close and I didn't even bother to look for a seat belt). The ride to the hotel, although a rough and bumpy, does provide some great views of... More

Spent two nights here. The bathroom smelled like mold and mildew, but maybe even worse. We wondered if there could be something toxic going on. Not everyone had rooms that smelled bad, but a few in our group did. The beds were clean, blankets scratchy and mattress VERY firm. We did suggest to the management there was a bad smell... More
