Our room was huge and well appointed. Balcony with lovely view, table and chairs. Fridge and good air-con. TV. Free wifi. Lots of wardrobe and cupboard space. Nice swimming pool with cold water which was soooo needed after trekking around Petra all day. There is also a Hammam. Fantastic buffet breakfast - so much choice - including pancakes! Really tasty... More

Nice hotel, clean large room, food buffet - very tasty, great desserts. The view from the balcony at sunset over the complex Petra memorable - I recommend! Evening sitting in a cafe and the possibility of a bath in the swimming pool or using steam (Turkish) bath ....

We stayed there for one night, It was great.... Everything is comfortable and cozy... the view of the balcony was AMAZING... The breakfast and dinner were so DELICIOUS. The staff were very friendly and they even had hotel transportation service "For free". I would recommend it to anyone who wants to visit Petra to stay at that hotel.

Good hotel with a great ambience. The hospitality was very good and very helpful staffs. Do not try sheesha as they are not good in that. The swimming pool was great. The view from the balcony was amazing treat to your eyes.

After a hot day of traveling and walking around Petra, this hotel was perfect. The Alanbat hotel was beautiful. We kept pinching ourselves to make sure the whole experience was real. Super clean, close to Petra. They will give you a ride one way. Breakfast included. Amazing pool, which was the perfect way to end the day. The pool even... More

Stayed at Alanbat while visiting Petra. The customer service was absolutely amazing. They were kind enough to transport us into town for food during Ramadan as well as pick us up later. That night we were treated to an authentic Turkish Bath experience which was incredible and I would definitely recommend it! Overall, the staff was extremely friendly and helpful... More

I stayed overnight at the Alanbat Hotel as part of a 2 day package tour to Petra. The hotel is clean, spacious and fairly modern, with large rooms and good-sized bathrooms (although the towels were very old and need replacing). Many rooms seem to be twin singles, so specify if you require a double-bed room. The main guest areas are... More

Excellent front desk, good English, very kind and open to suggestions. A bit outside of wadi musa ( 5 minutes taxi ride to the entrance of Petra). They have free taxi to the entrance of Petra (they call a guy and he will drive you there). Very good breakfast, typical arab fare with some western pastries and eggs, one of... More

This hotel had spectacular views of Petra/Wadi Musa. The rooms were clean and well equipped. The food was acceptable, but not spectacular. But the staff was the real highlight. They were very courteous and helped us sort out the many issues that we had with the company that organized the tour. I would recommend staying here.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
What began as a name for the masters of the caravans more than 2000 years ago has grown into one of the best and most provisional hotel investments in Petra Region. "Alanbat" is the Arabic name of the Nabataeans, the people who carved Petra, early CBC. Settled in southern Jordan 500 BC, they were expert in water planning & carving. Alanbat Hotels Company was founded in the early 80s by Raja O. Alnawafleh and Brothers. As young men we developed a big area and a small building for a campsite and a hotel. We were the first family of local people of Wadi Mousa Town to invest in hotels company and services. We as hotel management have got more than 30 years of experience. Services start with average capacity of 20 poxes; nowadays we have three hotels: Alanbat I (our main location), Alanbat II and Alanbat III. All the new services have been done on our main location to make your visit to Petra and your stay at our hotels amazing and pleasurable. Alanbat hotels can provide you with experienced assistance in getting the most out of your visit to Petra. Our staffs are ready to help you in the soul of Jordanian hospitality. ... more   less
