We stayed at Al Rashid Hotel for two nights. The location and rooms was absolutely great. The hotel is connected to a small restaurant overlooking a roundabout, which makes for good entertainment during dinner. It was clean, reasonable and run by exceptionally nice people.

I booked the hotel and then the hotel emailed me. Then I emailed back asking to be picked up from the airport and there was this driver waiting for me. I personally took a taxi (5dinars one way which is expensive for a 2km) from the hotel to Petra entrance and walked myself everywhere. I watched a PBS documentary about Petra and another from National Geographic and I was good to go. Have fun!!
