It was freezing when we arrived on December 1st, literally almost 0 degrees plus windy and rainy. I walked in the doors of the hotel and the manager had just made himself tea. He quickly handed it to me to warm up! He checked me in and was so kind and helpful. He answered all my questions and our room...

The staff was excellent. Ahmad at the front desk was very helpful and extremely friendly. I would recommend this hotel to anyone! The beds were comfortable, showers hot and very nice, and the view from the rooftop was excellent.

Arriving at the end of November meant cold winds but lovely sunshine. It wasn't overrun with tourists and you could walk around Petra on your own. The Rose City was breathtaking! The transport system is still quite poor as the only option for travelling to the tourist spots are by car and that's expensive with long distances involved. You could...

Staff are friendly and welcoming, the rooms are nice and the hotel has a great view from the rooftop. There is a nice pool up on the roof too. Beds are comfy and the room is a good size. The added bonus of Turkish baths downstairs is great after a big day at the ruins. Breakfast is good, typically Middle...

We (2 adults + 1 child) stayed 3 nights in this hotel is rather new (around 4 years), the rooms are big and the beds comfortable enough. Both the rooms, toilettes and the rest of areas are clean and for the moment well preserved. I was a bit disappointed with the lack of friendliness we notices contrary to what is...

As the other reviews will tell you, the staff here are extremely friendly and helpful! And the owner is just lovely! I stayed here on my own and as a single white woman you can sometimes feel intimidated but not here! The rooms are spotless and have all mod cons though I would have liked have found some complementary water...

The staff were all very hospitable, especially Ahmad on the front desk who was kind and helpful in every way he could be. Nothing was too much trouble. My room was clean and modern and extremely comfortable. Extra pillows were available in the room if needed. The facilities are very good, especially the roof terrace and pool. There you can...

Of the 4 hotels I stayed in while in Jordan, this one was my favorite! The view from the rooftop terrace of the hotel was gorgeous, and there is a beautiful pool area up there as well to cool off after a long day in Petra. The service was outstanding and the dinners were all delicious. The front desk service...

This was a great hotel to spend a couple nights while visiting Petra on a group tour. The rooms are adequate and comfortable. The food was (although specially made for us) was amazing. And the rooftop deck was a little treasure. A cannot miss to watch the sun set over the mountains of Petra. The personable owner was always around...

Stayed at the Seven Wonders Hotel, as part of a tour group visiting Petra. I must say the hotel was my favourite during our tour of Jordan; the pool and baths are a nice touch, in addition to the friendly service, and some of the best food I'd had during the trip. The young gent Ahmad at reception was very...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Seven Wonders Hotel / Petra situated with dramatic views over the town and valley of Wadi Moussa, which houses the ancient city of Petra, now one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. We are a newly built 4* hotel with super-added facilities of a rooftop swimming pool and terrace, and what we believe is the best fitted Turkish Baths suite in Jordan. The hotel is well situated at the upper end of the scenic Wadi Moussa valley and town. It is a short walk from the town center and souk. Although the area generally is hilly, some of the roads being quite steep, the walk from the hotel to the upper part of the town is almost flat and can be undertaken by most reasonably fit people. We are easy to locate, a short drive in on the main access roads from Shawbak and Ma'an, on the right hand side, near to the Police Station. The principle part of the town, and the Petra ancient ruin, is on the same road below us continuing through the valley. Our aim at the hotel is to provide you with a happy experience of Arabia within a comfortable family orientated setting. To this end, we regret we cannot accommodate pets, nor do we serve alcohol inside the hotel, although it is available elsewhere in the town. The building which was completed in 2012 is of a tower design with lift and stairs The lift means it is suitable for elderly and slightly less able bodied guests. We regret bathroom facilities are not adapted for wheelchairs, nor for walking appliances, due to lack of floor space. ... more   less
