I honestly can not speak too highly of this hotel. The rooms were beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. The food was well-prepared and fresh and the staff were welcoming, attentive and extremely friendly. A special mention must be made of Ahmed, a young student working front of house in order to finance his studies, his attention to any and all questions...

We chose this hotel because were arriving in Petra directly from Amman at 2am and it was the only Petra hotel to offer late check in, according to our booking website. The staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is very clean, safe and modern. The location could be an issue for some as its a 10minute downhill walk...

I stayed here as part of a group tour. The staff is very friendly; they made us a super early breakfast so we could be at Petra at opening time. The turkish bath is quite good after a full day of hiking There's also a pool on the rooftop that has a good view over the town

My wife and I stayed over as part of a tour group and after a full day of climbing stairs at Petra, we decided to try their in-house Turkish bath. I must say, we were pleasantly surprised how relaxing and just how much it bodies needed a good deep tissue massage! Mohamed, our Egyptian masseur, was very professional and courteous....

Stayed as part of a tour and really enjoyed this hotel. The room was nice, the breakfast and dinner had a good variety and the rooftop area was a nice spot to relax with a drink at the end of the day (we brought some alcohol with us) We got taxis down to Petra and back as the hotel is...

This hotel is not within easy walking distance of Petra, especially on the way back as it is up a very steep hill. However, you can easily get a taxi for JOD 5 or less, so don't let that out you off. Our room was large and clean and comfortable. There is a small mini bar fridge you can use...

This hotel is a strange mix of old and revamped - some fixtures are original and some have been updated. On saying that the room, though furnished in old fashioned dark wood, is spotlessly clean and a decent size. The bathroom has had a bit of a make over but has only a shower, no bath. The rooftop swimming pool...

I have just stayed here for my visit to Petra. Great location only 7 minutes drive to the gate. Rooms and facilities all very clean and the bed comfortable. Eaten in the restaurant twice, both times very good. Staff excellent. Highly recommended

This is a modern hotel about 1,5 kilometers from the entrance to Petra. The rooms are clean. On the roof top there is a small pool. The water was very cold however. It is nice to sit on the roof and overview the surroundings. The food in the restaurant. The ambience of the restaurant could be better.

I am giving this hotel highest rate mostly because of the kind staff. They are friendly and very correct and will do anything to help you. Our room was spacious. The interior is a bit worn down but nothing you cant live with. There is a small fridge in the room, tv and good air-con. There is a very nice...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Welcome to the Seven Wonders Hotel / Petra situated with dramatic views over the town and valley of Wadi Moussa, which houses the ancient city of Petra, now one of the new 7 Wonders of the World. We are a newly built 4* hotel with super-added facilities of a rooftop swimming pool and terrace, and what we believe is the best fitted Turkish Baths suite in Jordan. The hotel is well situated at the upper end of the scenic Wadi Moussa valley and town. It is a short walk from the town center and souk. Although the area generally is hilly, some of the roads being quite steep, the walk from the hotel to the upper part of the town is almost flat and can be undertaken by most reasonably fit people. We are easy to locate, a short drive in on the main access roads from Shawbak and Ma'an, on the right hand side, near to the Police Station. The principle part of the town, and the Petra ancient ruin, is on the same road below us continuing through the valley. Our aim at the hotel is to provide you with a happy experience of Arabia within a comfortable family orientated setting. To this end, we regret we cannot accommodate pets, nor do we serve alcohol inside the hotel, although it is available elsewhere in the town. The building which was completed in 2012 is of a tower design with lift and stairs The lift means it is suitable for elderly and slightly less able bodied guests. We regret bathroom facilities are not adapted for wheelchairs, nor for walking appliances, due to lack of floor space. ... more   less
