Very well sized rooms and an excellent range of amenities on offer in this well located hotel. A particular note is the wet room/bath/shower which provides plenty of space for a freshen up. Being located next door to both the JR Station/ Bus Station and the Aeon shopping Mall is a particular bonus.
We felt that the breakfast offering was quite poor and that one of the coffee/bakery shops in the Mall would be a better option.

JR group hotel links, this is JR Inn Asahikawa. Hotel located near train station, surround by restaurants and supermarket, convenience and a few walk to down town and local shops and bars.
I love the lounge (see the picture), and hotel facilities is laundry machine, restaurants in different levels and what I like is indoor jacuzzi and semi outdoor jacuzzi (open windows). I visit Asahikawa in the winter time, this hot tub jacuzzi is for hotel guest. After a freezing day, this hot jacuzzi is perfect time before to bed.
Please follow the several rules before step in the jacuzzi, men and women jacuzzi is separate.
Rooms amenities like comb, cotton bud, face lotion in sachet packing, etc is self service near the reception before to step to your rooms by lift, suggest to take only using during in hotel.
soap and shampoo is ready at bathroom inside the room, also the towel.

This is amazing hotel, recommended to stay in Asahikawa.

Nice cozy hotel.
The building link with Aeon Mall. Also link to JR train station.
Hotel rooms a bit small but adequate.
Hotel staff very polite and helpful. One staff want to ensure my family reach our destination, she wrote the destination in Japanese on a piece of paper to show to taxi driver. When finished visiting, the lady at reception (Crystal Snow Museum) kindly called a taxi for us and also wrote in Japanese on another piece of paper to show the taxi driver our next destination. When walking the road, we lost our bearing and a female student guided us to our hotel.
All in all, it is a great experience staying in Asahikawa.

This hotel has a very good location, just a few steps from the train station. The complex that it is in has all kinds of restaurants, shops, Starbucks and supermarket. Buses stop right in front of the hotel. The rooms are very small, but clean. There were two of us with two 21 inch carry on bags but there was no room to store them. We had booked a standard room, but after seeing how small it was, we wanted to upgrade. We were told that we could upgrade to a "Semi-double" room for an additional fee, which we accepted. At 2pm we were told that our room was not ready and had to return after 4pm. When we returned, we discovered that we were given the original room that we booked. When we complained, the front desk staff, who's English was poor, told us that we were upgraded to a higher floor. I told them that we did not want a higher floor, but a larger room. They told us that all rooms are booked! no refund was offered. This is bait and switch! Be careful, if you have to stay here. There are many other hotels that are close by.

Hotel is above Aeon mall which is attached to the train station. We did not drive so the close proximity to trains and buses was necessary. Room is small as per Japanese standards but clean and fully equipped. View from our room had trains coming and going which was interesting. The public bath is small and they limit the number of person using so you need to go at odd hours. Overall nice cozy 3 nights stay and will return if we decided to visit Hokkaido again.

Colocated with the train station and a shopping mall. The mall has restaurants on the 4th floor: the 1st floor has a grocery store, food shops and a Muji; floors 2 and 3 have retail shopping and a movie theater. There are onsen style public baths, coin laundry, and lounge with complimentary hot beverages. Our room was a large twin, roomy with a wet room bath room. Asahikawa is Hokkaido’s second biggest city, but because it rained during our one day stay we never ventured beyond the mall (which had everything we needed) so we’re not sure what else the city has or lacks. It does appear you could use this hotel as a base and take day trips.

We booked the Twin room, is pretty small for 2 persons, but it is okay. The location of the hotel is excellent. Can reach the hotel sheltered from the JR Asahikawa station.

Ground floor is the AEON supermarket and eating outlets, McDonald etc. There's also many restaurants within the 2nd to 5th floor. Good selection of cuisine and the food court and supermarket on the ground floor makes it very convenient.

The bus station is opposite the hotel, which can be reached via the sheltered walkway.

The only problem we had was the aircon is blowing directly onto one of the bed (we have 2 beds). We had to get hotel to fix a bath towel over the blower so that the cold air is not blowing directly onto the bed when we are sleeping.

The single room set up is better. No issue with the air con duct blowing cold air.

JR Inn Asahikawa is conveniently located above the train station (1min walk away) and is attached to Aeon mall. It's breakfast is good with lovely soft serve ice cream. The hotel has pillow selection but it usually runs out by 5pm... The rooms are standard size but provides a great view of the daisetsuzan mountain range especially at sunset. It has a cosy lounge for its guest with free flow coffee and tea. It makes an ideal stay for those travelling with family.

The location was fantastic; located just besides the train station and connected to the Aeon shopping mall. The staff were friendly and professional. We have nothing to complain about. A hot bath was provided and according to my friend, it was good. There were spare pillows of different firmness available at the lobby according to your liking.
Several restaurants were available in the mall and we were able to find something suited to us.
As it was raining, we were glad that we were kept dry as the carpark was sheltered and we need not leave the building with everything we needed available in the mall.
Thank you, JR inn Asahikawa!

Conveniently located, built next Asahikawa train station and Aeon mall.
Seamless check-in, front desk very efficient and fr3as should be.
Clean room and they have a pillow shelf of various comfy softness you can pick up. We liked ours firm ones supplied. If I have to complain, probably the mattress could be a tad firmer and size of room rather claustrophobic, then again real estate prime being close to station I guess.
Brekkie at 1,700 yen per pax is a good Japanese spread, crunch by the Grand Farm Buffet, which they do lunch and dinner too.

Don’t you think you would want to email the hotel and ask that question???? People who stay there get one room one floor. Kinda strange question to ask. Call or email the hotel. But I will tell you I hate smoke and my room was perfect zero smell of smoke
