The staff was very welcoming and helpful. The rooms are quite snug with extremely thin walls. We were next door to friends so we had fun with it, but might not be so fun with strangers you don't wish to have conversations with in the privacy of your room. Overlooking the watering hole was my favorite, along with the underground...

This well kept Mountain Lodge is located within the Mount Kenya National Park with wildlife literally on your doorstep. The wildlife trek guided by local ranger was a true highlight, we had the opportunity to walk in true wilderness. All rooms have a private balcony facing the waterhole where animals gather to drink. There is also a below ground level...

Chilly place. Reflective environment where you forget what you see daily. A place where human and wildlife lives harmoniously. All rooms facing the water point giving a person an excellent view of wildlife grazing around day n night. Loved being woken up at midnight to see some hogs which were grazing around (the size of hippos. ) All the staff...

This is a quiet, cozy beautiful place tucked inside a park. The service is great, the staff very cheerful and always on hand to assist. All the rooms face the watering hole and the staff will, on request, give you a wake-up call so you can see the animals that come to the watering-hole through the night.

We unfortunately had only one night here but it was very worth coming. Waterhole gave us fine looks at mammals and birds including a young owl and a genet. Excellent food and comfortable room with hot water bottle delivered to make the bed extra nice.

I stayed here for 2 days on safari in October, 2016. The lodge is rustic and located in a beautiful area. For some reason, the animals at the water hole were very sparse and those that came, did not stay long. The food was mediocre and the service indifferent. All in all, not a place I will visit again. One...

3 hour drive from the Nairobi airport, its located in a isolated setting. Has a water hole and a salt lick. The rooms overlook the water hole. Saw buffaloes, rhinos and impalas. The lodge is very neatly maintained. Food is also good. Definitely I will recommend anyone to stay.

The lodge is 2,134 m above sea level and situated on the lower slopes of Mount Kenya. It has a water hole and salt lick right next to it which is lit up at night. There is also a tunnel that takes you to a hide even nearer to the waterhole. Staff will let you know if anything interesting comes...

Interesting place with all rooms overlooking a water hole which can come to life at night with various animals watering there. The staff will wake you if you want to see a particular animal and don't want to sit up all night. The nights are cold as this is at altitude so bring warm clothing. The meals were good and...

In 20 years of travel the room supplied would have to be the smallest one i have ever stayed in, barely room for two people to walk around, filled with chairs that we had to remove so we could walk in it. You could not turn around in the shower without hitting your elbows it was that small, had to...
