Recently stayed for 5 nights with Mediterranean Plants and Gardens group in this hotel. We found the owners very helpful and arranged some early breakfasts for us, helped with internet problems, provided beach towels, etc. No problems with understanding of English language here. Was quiet (although we were ahead of season) and a basic clean hotel. Beach nearby. Internet free....

We stayed here for a week as a base for looking at the spring flowers in Crete. What helpful and knowledgeable staff! Providing local information, helping with getting hire cars and buses: nothing too much trouble. Hotel was spotless, rooms a good size with excellent showers, beds very comfortable, breakfast amazing. Free wifi in rooms. Located 2 minutes from the...

We stayed in this hotel for two weeks in September. It certainly ticked all our boxes. It is ideally situated, very close to all the supermarkets, restaurants, and bars of Plakias but we were not aware of any noise at night. Jeannie, on reception, was marvellous, so friendly, informative and helpful. The rooms had everything we required and were kept beautifully clean...

Pulled into this town late at night and decided to check on vacancy. Luckily they had a room and it was a great night's stay. The room was large, clean, the staff was friendly, and the breakfast was fantastic. The hotel has a very rustic charm to it and they have parking in the back for anyone arriving by car....

This is a great little hotel and great value for money. The staff went repeatedly out of their way to help us and were always so lovely. The rooms are nice, it's quiet, and you have everything you may need nearby. More than decent breakfast buffet too. Stay here, you won't regret it.

We ended up here after the place we were going to say at double-booked us.It was not equal to what we paid for at the other place - which we understand is not the fault of Hotel Sofia. Having said that, we got a room that faced a dirt construction sight, hard beds and saw a cockroach about 3 cm...

This was our third visit to Sofia as it suits all of our needs perfectly. Everything is great from the welcome at reception to the hotel's location just minutes away from Plakias' amenities. Worth a mention are the breakfasts which I would say are better than average. The selection is fairly standard for a Greek hotel of it's type but...

The family who run the hotel can not do enough to make your stay memorable. Jeannie on reception is just great. We would certainly recommend Hotel Sofia. Hope...
