We stayed in Posada Herran for two nights while visiting Santillana del Mar and its surroundings. The inn is located 15 minutes away by foot from the historic town. Rooms are very clean and cozy. There is a nice backyard with a small playhouse for children. It is also where the breakfast is served. Lidia, the woman that runs the... More

Lidia and her parents treated us like family during our stay in this comfortable small inn located near the old part of Santilla Del Mar. She gave us a lot of good information about the local area and restaurants. She does not speak a lot of English so my Spanish was useful. Our room was a nice size with comfortable... More

Fantastic place to stay on the outskirts of this wonderful town.Lydia and her family make you feel right at home. We were there for four nights. It's an easy walk or drive into town or to see the cave nearby. Breakfast is excellent however you might want to supplement it with some fruit or ham that you can buy in... More

Posada Herran is in a quiet neighborhood away from the hustle and bustle of the ancient village of Santillana del Mar. The rooms were very nice and comfortable and the food was excellent. The hostess speaks not a lick of English, but is very friendly and willing to make your stay as comfortable and nice as possible.

A cross between a bed and breakfast and a old style hotel! Beautiful rooms with clean, modern amenities. Breakfast was included and was both of good quality and ample quantity. Owner was very nice and accommodating. A little out of the way...(hard to find) but within walking distance of Santilliana Del Mar. Would have stayed another night if we had... More

This place was ideal for our stay and needs. The best thing is the host. She is sincerely there to help. She even walked us into town to see Santillana del mar so that we would t get lost waking there. It was a five minutes walk. It wasn't far at all. They gave us a very nice room. It... More

We stayed only for 1 night as we were passing through. Could not have been more pleased. The mother is in charge with her kids, husband and parents also in residence. Communication requires some effort if no Spanish is known but was not an issue. We found our lovely bedroom, got directions to Santillana, was offered herbal tea on our... More

What a lovely spot! Our room on the top floor under the roof was large and comfortable. Our window looked out onto the garden and the pastures beyond. We awoke to a chorus of birds and mooing cows. Breakfast was delicious and large by Spanish standards. Our host was charming and helpful. It's a very short drive to both the... More

We stayed in this immaculately clean, family run accommodation for several nights. One can smell the furniture polish on entering the house! Our host understood very little English, but we all managed to get along just fine. Breakfast included brewed coffee, cereals, bread, cheese and home baked cake. The house was tucked away amongst some windy streets, but we managed... More
