I intended to stay 1 night to attend a wedding, but "Desmond" had other ideas, we finished up staying 3. The management and staff of the hotel were wonderful, nothing was too much bother. They accommodated villagers that had lost their homes as well as looking after the Police, Army and BT engineers that were looking after emergency telephone calls...

Can not rate this highly enough. My 86 yr old father and two others were there for my son's wedding when storm desmond hit. Although the village got cut off they got the chief bridesmaid out by rescue boat in time to do her duty elsewhere and they looked after my father and cousin until monday. They were epic.

This hotel and it's staff have donated a massive amount of their time, money and services to helping everyone they can affected by the Cumbrian floods. They have been trying their hardest, and succeeding, to provide a beacon of hope within Glenridding and the surrounding area and deserve the credit for it! Thank you

We booked two nights here as we had called earlier in the year and liked the look of the hotel. We were not disappointed! We chose a lake view room and that is precisely what we got, despite the rather inclement weather. The room was comfortable but with a standard rather than a queen size bed, although the view compensated...

We had booked for two nights at the Inn on the Lake, and enjoyed it so much we stayed for three! Our room was immaculate and warm, the bed was comfortable and it was lovely to have a bath as well as a shower. The staff were very helpful and friendly too. We ate in the restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed...

Myself and my boyfriend went to the lakes to celebrate my birthday and decided to eat in the hotel restaurant. The food was on the pricey side, but very tasty. My afternoon tea had too much creamy cakes in it though, so was a bit sickening, but the sandwiches! They were amazing! The bread was just so good! I also...

Lovely setting inside and out. Staff extremely helpful and friendly. We went for Sunday lunch which overall was delicious. Unfortunately I found a dead caterpillar in my salad, which in itself was quite funny and just one of those things. I was however a bit annoyed at how the situation was dealt with and just glossed over. I would have...

Lovely warm, welcoming hotel where the staff were all very friendly and helpful. The setting is spectacular and the reception rooms make the most of it with beautiful views from all areas. The fire provides a warm focuss but numerous radiators keep the whole public area warm and inviting. Perfect to sit and read or chat when it is too...
