The hotel is old but generally well maintained and clean. It is conveniently close to a walking path along the gorge and provides a continental breakfast. For an inexpensive place to stay, it fills the bill. The only problem we had was an intermittent sewer gas smell in the bathroom. Maintenance poured some chemical in the drains but that did... More

We stayed here over the May long weekend. It was pretty full, but the staff kept the breakfast area stocked. We were a family of five (three young kids). We called to book and told them we had three kids even though the room said four people, but since our youngest sleeps with us, we thought two queen beds were... More

We wanted a quiet spot to rest and rejuvenate. Lovely older hotel but in great shape. Two very comfortable queen size beds in a large room. Continental breakfast from 7-10 with tea & coffee available all day. It is close to Victoria General, they offer family members a special rate which I used four years ago for 10 days. Friendly... An excellent value for money. Rooms are huge and clean, bed was comfortable. Free wifi and even a breakfast included that didn't have any variety but a bonus to include at such a reasonable price. Even though the hotel was fully booked we didn't hear any noise between rooms, just in the hallway where you could clearly hear conversations and... More

I always get a chuckle when reading the reviews for accommodations, restaurants etc., realizing that they are entirely subjective, but also realizing that it allows the writer an amount of anonymity. Meaning, professional gripers live amongst us. For heaven's sake read between the lines when you're perusing the reviews and base your decisions about any accommodation, accordingly. Off the top,... We were in Victoria for Thanksgiving, and once again no complaints regarding our facilities. We were upgraded to one of the little cabins, rustic in décor and very cute. We'd love to return for a few days, as they have balconies that look out to the water, be fantastic when the weather is good. Check in and out was quick... More

Room 261. Large comfortable room with full kitchen facilities. Room next to the road and so some road noise but soundproofing was fairly good. Desk staff helpful and friendly. On-site laundry was very reasonably priced. Breakfast was good, sat on the deck overlooking the lake. The clue is in the name, econo lodge. The price was very good and although... More

This hotel was mostly great. The receptionist was kind and knowledgeable of the area, and the continental breakfast had some decent food. The room was clean, aside from the carpets that had been stained from previous guests (I'm guessing drinks falling on them), and the kitchen in our room had mostly everything we needed. The area is lovely. My main... More
