iI was looking forward to a cosy weekend with my partner in Strathyre revisiting old haunts. It just happened to be the first really cold weekend this winter- not that the owners seemed to notice!! We arrived late on a Thursday 29 November, minus 2 or 3 outside and were shown to the Mountain room well named as it was...

Rosebank House is a lovely Victorian house, with character oozing out of every corner. Set in the quiet but lovely village of Strathyre, just north of Callander, it is surrounded by glorious forest and those fabulous hills of Scotland. Mal and Paul [proprietors] have done an absolutely superb job of renovating this house, which is welcoming and warm. Each of...

We found Rosebank House to be all we could have hoped for. Mal and Paul were so helpful - nothing was too much trouble. Lovely breakfast with plenty of choice and such a sensible service time scale 8-10am so you didn't have to rush down or go without on your holiday! The Garden Room was lovely, just perfect for us...

The four of us stayed in the Rosebank House for 3 nights a couple of weeks ago. We got the "Mountain" double room and the "Forest" family suite (which had an extra bedroom that we didn't use and were not charged for). Both rooms were spacious, clean, nicely decorated and had beautiful views from the windows. The bathrooms were large...

One night just wasn't long enough for us...we loved this beautiful B&B owned by Paul and Mal. It is carefully and beautifully decorated with period furnishings, the bathroom is amazing, the breakfast was wonderful, and we enjoyed the welcome and friendliness of our hosts. Our room was on the second floor, facing the street but so well insulated that we...

Great value, good friendly service and clean comfortable accommodation. Good breakfast with a veggie choice offered. The kind of place you wouldn't mind staying in for a day if the weather aint great outside. Suitable for families too. Intend to return. Well situated for walks and cycling.

This is our second visit and it was just as perfect as the first time. Very welcoming owners, the rooms are clean and beautifully decorated, comfortable beds and a fantastic breakfast catering for everyone - what more do you need. We had a 5 month old baby and he even had his own place setting at breakfast. Thank you for...

We stayed for one night, whilst walking the Rob Roy Way and recieved a warm and friendly welcome on our arrival. The proprieters made us feel very welcome and gave us advice on places to eat and drink, they even offered to drive us to other places if we didn't want to eat in Strathyre. In my opinion, the room...

A motorcycle trip around some of Scotland. culminated at the Rosebank. On arrival we found parking outside the house, and were then were ushered in by Paul to our rooms - very comfortable. The next suprise was the room rate had reduced since we booked! After cleaning up we walked the short distance to the remaining pub in the village...
