We stayed in a very small room with no outside window. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. Air conditioning and wifi worked well. There was a strong detergent smell in the hallway. The staff went out of their way to help us with directions and booking El Chepe tickets. Good value for a quick stay.

Whilst to room is contact, it is clean and beautifully furnished. I believe that there has been recent refurbishment. Fairly priced at 575 pesos. Staff at front desk very good but little to no English. Hotel restaurant is adequate. Overall good value for money. We shifted here from an airbnb that was dreadful!

It was fine for what it was, a late night stop over before catching El Chepe. The food was dreadful and they had no beer and the waitress started washing the floor with strong detergent before I was done eating so I just fled. The staff was pleasant enough. The room was clean but no window always freaks me out. The ac wouldn't work properly. I know this is a lot of whining but I was exhausted and not in the mood for even the slightest thing to go wrong. Bottom line, there are way worse places to stay for a night.

I stayed here on my way to and from Copper Canyon. The hotel was great. The rooms were relatively modern, clean and spacious. WiFi was very good and the TV worked and even had a couple of English channels. While the staff didn't have any English skills some basic Spanish will get you buy. They were always friendly and tried to be helpful. It's not far away from the local bus station for El Fuerte and close to shops but there aren't a lot of restaurants nearby. 10 min walk or so, however the hotel has a restaurant with a fair range of choices.

We were only passing through Los Mochis and arrived fairly late in evening. They were very accomodating and air conditioned. The cafe attached served us even though it was obviously late. The next day we did tour some places withing walking distance and found the town to be like a central Missouri small town where I grew up. Our only complaint was that we did not find any other eating places that attracted us withing ten blocks in all directions. Was NOT near ElChepe train station as it looked on maps. 3 miles. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel Fenix is not luxurious. Our room was a little small and dark and the beds quite hard. However, it is clean and safe. The staff was quite accomodating. This hotel is perfect for travellers on the go - perhaps not for longer term stays. We did not eat at the restaurant but it looked good.

We came back to Mochis for a night before flying out back home. We stayed in Fenix, it was central located and decent rae for the night. The room was average size and clean. The only downer to the room was that the ac was a window mount and extremely loud, you could not sleep with it on it was that loud and in the summer you need the ac.

My wife and I stayed here just for one night on our way to the Chepe train going to the Mountains, Barranca del Cobre. Rate was $450 pesos for a double room per night, that's around $32 dollars right now. Actually I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel, it looked it was recently renovated, it looks good, the decor is fine, we especially loved the doors. They should have chosen something different for the window, because it lacks blackout and there's light coming all over from that curtain. It was winter in Los Mochis, that's 60s or 70s, winter here is like summer in So. California, so we didn't really need the A/C but when I turned it on, it was a constant annoying rattle, this hotel should take care of these, I saw many complaints about them here. And in summertime an A/C is a must in this area, where it can easily hit the 100's... We didn't eat in the restaurant and I regret it, it looked really busy, seems it is a hot spot in Los Mochis. I don't think the noise from outside is an issue here, and we had a room facing the outside. They have wireless, it works fine. Staff is polite and friendly.
