I stayed at this property with my wife and college age daughter and had a fantastic time! We were picked up at the airport and the resort is only a 10 min drive. The property is located on a wonderful beach facing calm lagoon waters and paddle boards and kayaks are always available. As others have noted, the resort is very new and everything from the back deck to all the appliances are brand new! The rooms are very comfortable, each with their own AC system and each pair of units has laundry machines! The grounds are beautiful with two pools, tropical plants, and plenty of tables and lounge chairs on the beach. The restaurant has opened and it has a bar (happy hour from 4-5) and wonderful food from pizzas to fresh fish and a nice continental breakfast is included 😀. In addition to wonderful facilities in a great location, the staff is soooo nice! I was talking to a server about coconut crabs and she offered to try to have someone go out and find one so they could cook it for me! Haha😀 unfortunately it would have taken 3 days and we only had two left sooo.. The manager can line up activities, give advice, and allowed us to stay until 4pm on checkout day for a reasonable fee. The staff obviously really cares about their visitors and their facility and they made our stay incredible. I would love to return to Aitutaki and would absolutely stay at this property again!

Tava'e Resort is boutique and modern but keeping Cook Island charm. The poolside room was spacious and although faced onto the pool and opposite rooms they were private. The beachfront unit looks really special facing out to the lagoon but the poolside rooms are only a few steps back from the beach-front. There were complimentary snorkel sets available, beach towels and fruit in our room.
The bed is big and comfy, gorgeous rainfall shower with lovely toiletries. The aircon was a saviour and the umbrella thoughtful. Filtered tap water in the room was great and there was even a bottle chilling in the fridge when we arrived.
Andrew provided an amazing concierge service and arranged two dinner reservations, a lagoon cruise for the following morning and a rental moped within less than an hour of arrival. Amazing! Ange and Charles were ever-present and always ensuring guests were happy and firmly on island time. All the staff are very warm and friendly.
The resort is within a short walk of Tamanu Beach next door and Pacific Resort slightly further in the other direction for dinner and drinks (definitely make reservations) and having a rental was great for us to explore restaurants further afield. Tava'e would be our only choice for Aitutaki, it has all the amenities of the larger resorts packed up neatly into a more personal experience.

We had a fabulous stay at Resort Tava'e. Everything about this new resort is exceptional. Well laid out with great facilities and grounds, including 2 beautiful pools, kayaks, paddleboards and direct beach access. The room was very spacious, very comfortable bed and lovely decor with so many extra's including cooking facilities.
The service was exceptional as well. Most friendly and helpful staff ever, all were lovely and great first impression of the resort. They were extremely accommodating and allowed us to check in early and then leave our luggage onsite after we checked out.
We would definitely stay again and will be recommending Resort Tava'e to all our friends.

It starts with being greeted on arrival with free transfers, and beautiful lei. The resort is new, like brand new so the facilities are at a high level, and plenty of staff maintaining it on the daily too. The team is very friendly and very accommodating, if you want anything ask them and they will arrange it. It deserves every part of the 5 star review, for cook islands, great WI-FI heaps of TV channels, the amenities in the room has everything you need, even a clothes rack to dry your clothes. The pool(s) are beautiful but right out the front is pure magic, snorkel straight out turn left, some of the best snorkelling on the island, nice soft pillow top bed, If we ever come back we will come here, thanks to everyone at Resort Tava'e for making our stay amazing!

We booked this hotel on less than 24 hours notice and what can I say - we struck gold.
From the very beginning staff were extremely helpful in picking us up after we had a tour. Greeted by the lovely Lea who helped us out and organised transport (herself) in less than 15 minutes. We arrived just after midday and were lucky enough to have our room ready. We checked in and were surprised at how new the room looked and felt (the photos didn’t do it justice).
We had dinner on site at the new restaurant, we loved the food and enjoyed the amazing sunset Aitutaki had to offer.
The beach and pool were a nice relaxing zone and there was plenty of water gear and activities available such as snorkels, kayaks and paddle boards.
Once it was time to check out, we were fortunate enough to be offered a late check out (midday) as our flight was leaving at 2pm. Again organised by the lovely Lea. We were then dropped off at the airport on time for our departure to Rarotonga.
Overall would definitely recommend the new Resort Tava’e. Can’t wait to spread the word back home.

Resort Tava'e sweeps and rakes the beach in front of their property daily. That really shows the care they have to ensure their property is pristine and their guests have a first class experience. The resort is right in front of a huge beautiful lagoon which we enjoyed daily. Our bungalow is right in front of the two pools and even has a bit of ocean view. There are so many lovely little touches from the little flowers around the rooms to a nice big bowl of fresh fruit. The room is very spacious with everything nicely laid out.
The staff is so welcoming and helpful, great ambassadors for Aitutaki. Everyone we encountered were really nice, from the excellent front desk, to the housekeeping and the grounds crew. Extra kudos to the beach staff who kept a helpful eye out for us and always lending a hand with the paddle boards and kayaks. It was nice to have the beach staff so visible, especially for beginner swimmers.
What a beautiful, laid back place with great staff.

They facilities are brand-new and stylish, a feeling in between minimalist and comfortable. It gets pretty warm, so I spent more time in The room that I expected in between activities. Two pools were warm, and brand-new also.
The massive TV with loads of channels I’ve got to catch up on a few movies and Internet was fully provided.
Hotel staff were fun, generous and helpful. the location was situated between the airport and town. I never expected to be hiring a moped or to feel really comfortable, but I did and it was so much fun to go up and down the street to town. Very safe and slow as were vehicles around me.
It was very quiet, so quiet in fact that when I did hear a few kids on occasion, it was wonderful to hear them splashing in the pool.
There was some construction whilst I was staying, however, it was not affecting me whatsoever. I know that they are building lots of new facilities for the resort, and I wish the resort people all the best for the new facilities.

Such an awesome experience from the moment you walk into your rooms you have this beautiful aroma from local flowers.
Your rooms are so serviced daily if you wish they even provide you with a beach towel.
The restaurant is value for money if you dine in you must try one of their pizzas the breakfast buffet is so yum there is plentiful local produce not forgetting to mention this smoke Marlin yum
Beyond side activities such as kayaking and snorkeling were so fun my family thoroughly enjoyed this activity.
The staff at Resort Tava'e are so friendly and helpful

Absolutely stunning. This is a new resort, with two swimming pools, rooms are located around the pool area and also rooms overlooking the beach. We had a stunning room, with the most amazing view across the beach, a lawned area and palm trees, beautiful. The deck area had sun loungers and was perfect to relax and enjoy the view. The rooms are finished to a high specification, spacious and light, a wonderful shower room, the attention to detail is exceptional. I cannot recommend a stay here highly enough, Charlie, Angela and the team are so helpful and made our stay extra special. We did not want to leave, the best place to stay on this lovely island......10/1

We have just spent a fantastic 5 days at Resort Tava'e in a beach front unit - amazing location right on the lagoon which was perfect for snorkeling and sitting on the beach (or the balcony) at sunset. Saw moray eels, snake eels, porcupine fish, multiple little creatures and fish in 30 degree water so definitely go out snorkeling! Our unit was fantastic - twin share with my best friend. Amazing amenities for self catering, everything you needed was provided although next door did have a restaurant if you have no transport (Resort Tava'e is currently building their own restaurant opening later this year). Huge bathroom and shower. Airconditioning wonderful. We were met at the airport by resort staff with gorgeous flower leis, and complimentary transfers to/from the resort. Also there was a wonderful touch of a fresh tropical fruit bowl in the room on arrival. All the staff went out of their way to help with anything or any enquiries including booking car for us which was there on our arrival. The staff also booked the lagoon cruise for us and anything else we would have wanted - nothing seemed too much trouble for them!! Having a car (or transport) was very useful and I would fully recommend this. THANK YOU to Charles and his team at Resort Tava'e. You were all totally wonderful and made our holiday so memorable and fun. We will DEFINITELY be back and could not recommend this accommodation more highly. Thank you all.
