Stayed 1 Night before trip to ijen. Nice place with a huge pool. Rooms spacious with ac and a Nice bathroom. Wi-fi only in the lobby. The restaurant is very expensive compared to the restaurants in the vicinity.

The view of this hotel is so awesome but the room was less enjoyable as the bedsheets and the bathroom were dirty. The matress was hard as a piece of wood. If you like dutch colonial style please come visit to bondowoso. But don't expect to much.

The main building is a colonial house giving lots of charactere to the hotel. There is very nice patio and swimming pool which make the outside areas really enjoyable. The room was less enjoyable as the bedsheets and the bathroom were dirty. The matress was hard as a piece of wood. They should review their cleaning standards.

My friend and I booked a tour to Ijen from a company in Malang (Nusantara trip, they are a good company check them out !) and were provided with this 'hotel'. Upon arrival, we thought it would be a decent place given its rather grand appearance. When we entered our room, I don't think that the room was actually cleaned.... More

After a 12 hour day travelling, we had to spend a night in Bondowoso. We had limited choices for accommodation so stayed at Palm even though it was twice the price of anywhere else we had stayed in Java. It's very overpriced for what it is. The rooms were dusty and grimy, cobwebs everywhere. The corridors were disgusting, with dead... More

The hotel is located in a nice old Dutch colonial building. We stayed only for night on our way to Iljen. The hotel has a well maintained huge swimming pool that seems to be used by local people too which is a good idea with not that much travellers passing by. The room that was booked for us (type bougainvilla)... More

Bondowoso is off the beaten track, especially since even the train doesn't go there anymore. Palm is the classic old hotel in town--built out of an old colonial planter's mansion. It offers huge as well as small rooms, and authentic colonial charm. It's in a good location for jumping off toward Ijen Crater, though that's still a long way away--probably... More

It is said to be the best hotel in Bondowoso and while it is certainly not the Ritz it is absolutely OK for the price (25 EUR) The setting of the Magnolia rooms around a lush tropical courtyard is really nice. The staff is relaxed and helpful. The room is a bit blank including the typical Asian cozy neon light... More
